Well, I'm impressed with all the things you guys know. :d

You're in good shape. You can't lose anything on the next level, quite a comfortable situation to be in.

Okay, here I'm blank. Maybe @Olympian1010 could help me here (if he's here?) If here is not here, I will use the switch. But let's hear if he is here now.

Doesn't seem to be online this instant but we can wait ~5 minutes to see if he shows up.

Yes, I would like to use switch.

Okay.

Would have been the Cardinals. The term goes back to factories that turned coal into gas.

I'm leaning between Australian Open or French Open. I don't remember exactly if the Open Era was already introduced during Australian Open (of course not called that before the Open Era started). I would like to save a lifeline for later, so I'm taking a guess and going to say that French Open was the first, as I think the Open Era was first officially introduced later during the season. B: French Open, is my answer.

    • I`m very disappointed with this weekend. Only becouse of Ghiotto is happy. Unfortunately, the women's team will not function well if Lollobrigida skips most of the training camps ( and Fontana starts alternately in short tack and long track. It will end with her not winning any medals here or there, because it is already clear that it will be very difficult to achieve good results in long track.
    • Tragic performance of the Italian women's team - last place and probably something bad happened at the start. There are so few starts in the team that it will be a problem to even qualify for the World Championships - 8 best teams. After Lollobrigida's return and Fontana's addition, I was counting on much more, but it seems that there are too few joint trainings. With individual quality, we have no right to lose to the Czechs without Sablikova, or anonymous Korea. And unfortunately this start will count for a lot, because there are only 2 more and our chances of playing at the World Championships are minimal. In my opinion with Fontana going from Short Track to Long Trackand vice versa, we won't be much use in the team. Here great teamwork is needed, not improvisation. As of today, there is very little chance that we will qualify the women's team for the games.
    • men advanced to Division A for the first time since 2018 (when they went 1-8). Don't expect much progress next year
    • Ok, but there we are talking about a person who has parents from different countries. Colturi has nothing to do with Albania.
    • There are few people here from Austria, Switzerland, Norway and Finland.
    • The worst editions in XXI century for us were Vancouver: 5 medals (only 1 gold for Razzoli's on the penultimate day) and Sochi: 8 medals (but no gold). Turin was already a prelude to this bad period, although the number of gold medals was ok. Overall we won fewer medals at home than in 2002 and this was probably the only case in the 21st century when the host country won fewer medals at home than 4 years earlier, either in summer or winter. In general the years 2008-2016 were very bad in our sport, both in summer and winter. Only 2018 in Korea was a slight rebuild + 2 fantastic summer editions in Tokyo and Paris. in Beijing 2022 we won a lot of medals - 17 but only 2 gold (If it weren't for Gogga's injury, I think it would have been 4 gold).
    • Totallympics had  users at one point, but I haven't seen any hanging around in a while.
    • In terms of total medals, yes. In terms of golds, I’d be fine with anywhere from 6-8.   @intoronto you don’t think we’ll do better or at least the same? Bit surprising.
    • Tadeucci was very good and took bronze
    • On the Olympics I don't like to count golds to analyse the performance, I think the best data are the top8 and medals. In both fields I expect a big improvement (obviously not on the 'pure' number, but on the percentage of medal or top8 events)
