Loving the crowd at BC Place. The expectation was to get 20k people per day, but in the end 30k came. Canada needs a huge win against Russia in order to reach the cup quarters though.

Hong Sevens is currently being held, but there is also a side tournament which will decide which team will become a core team in the next season. The semi-finals will be played tomorrow.

Japan won the qualifiers, defeating Hong Kong in the final. They will replace the last place core team from the world series (Likely Portugal or Russia)

Paris sevens started today, our team luckily is with two super rugby players Moroni and Cordero who help increase the level. The results already showing: 36-0 to USA

Anyway for me the greatest news is that Juan Imhoff will play in London Stage and probably olympics too. He's probably the best argentine winger in history we could use his help too.

    • We´ll see. anyway, I hope hope so.   It was her first career senior bout, maybe a bit too early, to be thrown in the lion´s den, but if all this will result in a medal in LA 28 I am all in

    • @hckošice, even though Tomankova lost, she had a good fight against Costa, I think soon she and Babulfath will be the stars of -48kg.
    • Yes.   The event has been cancelled due to the accident.

    • Yeah, we have such a strong crop of Juniors, that we can’t take them all. They all have exciting trajectories but to predict what Junior swimmers will is always difficult. Better to let them all swim together at Juniors than rocketing them all up to seniors and swimming a prelim and going home.
    • Hanlon is the most unlucky, in my opinion. Aside from relay cover, she's the 50m champ and they made a point of including consideration for those events being in LA for the other discretionary picks. Essentially she has the same case for selection as Max Morgan (albeit without the trajectory right now).   Blocksidge's form was way off this week (compared to her previous bests). Obviously being still young you could put that down to relative inexperience. Still, she has World and European Juniors that she could still be selected for this summer. There's an argument that performing well at those might be as beneficial as going to Singapore.   That said, I'm happy that they did take a bunch of discretionary picks. That's not always been the case.
