Yay, dropped out of top 30 after Bib 67... That's it, we are never going to win points again. As long as the likes of Austrians can enter million skiers per race and we are allowed only 1. That's all despite we kicked their ass many times and we have current World junior champion and bronze medalist among other things... Nevertheless, we are allowed to have as many skiers as Bolivia.

FIS is a joke.

Well, Slovakia doesn't really have top 30 material outside of Zampa. We literally have trials before every race because 3-4 skiers are on the same level. Even in the "glory days" we didn't have such depth. :(

I did not say nothing about top 30, I meant in the normal start list, but anyway I´m still pretty sure that we deserve at least those 2 places in the start list...maybe even 3 :dunno: but well, that´s not the topic...:d

head up, Croatia has a bright future, even if next time you´ll have only one skier, he can win points (today it was really only about luck, this time he was unlucky, maybe next time he will have more) and thus open immediately the door for another your skier for next race. thats still only the start of the season..so keep faith dude :d

Well, it's WAY too often about that in alpine skiing for us. :p Some of the recent unlucky outcomes include 16th place at World cup final last season from junior champion Istok Rodeš and 4th place at Winter Youth Olympics from Samuel Kolega (0.07 seconds behind bronze...).

And now we fill up the collection with 31st place, 0.03 outside of magic 30. :d

That sounds like the phrase "we will never win World Cup points again" is quite an exaggeration :p

Well, despite all that, we are effectively like Bolivia: still only 1 skier allowed and still no WYOG medal.

Sidney Crosby is considering.    Czechia Filip Hronek, D (Vancouver Canucks) Jakub Lauko, F (Boston Bruins) Karel Vejmelka, G (Utah Hockey Club) Dan Vladar, G (Calgary Flames)   David Pastrnak is possible    Finland Justus Annunen, G (Nashville Predators) Juuso Parssinen, F (New York Rangers) Juuse Saros, G (Nashville Predators) Teuvo Teravainen, F (Chicago Blackhawks) Eeli Tolvanen, F (Seattle Kraken)    Germany Philipp Grubauer, G (Seattle Kraken) Moritz Seider, D (Detroit Red Wings)    Sweden Rasmus Andersson, D (Calgary Flames) Mikael Backlund, F (Calgary Flames) Leo Carlsson, F (Anaheim Ducks) William Eklund, F (San Jose Sharks) Filip Forsberg, F (Nashville Predators) Adam Larsson, D (Seattle Kraken) Isac Lundestroem, F (Anaheim Ducks) Marcus Pettersson, D (Vancouver Canucks) Alexander Wennberg, F (San Jose Sharks)   Mika Zibanejad is also likely. • Regarding the swimming they have added the 800m for men and the 1500m for women so cutting numbers would be odd.
    • That quota I’ve been told by an athlete aiming to qualify who I know online.
    • Has the quota for Canada been offically confirmed anyway, or is that just a rumour? I can't find anything on google about it (nor the suggested quota for England's athletes someone posted earlier).   12 per gender would make sense (it's roughly what Canada sent to Birmingham). 12 overall seems dumb.
    • Some sports have qualification systems   3x3 basketball (wheelchair) Para-cycling Powerlifting Weightlifting
    • In the past few games, Canada (and other nations) was given an overall athlete quota which they then divided it through the various sports.
    • Whose decision was this, Team Canada's or the Organising committes?
    • I’ve been told there are no straight finals planned for the swimming.
    • I’m suprsied the games is still that big!
    • Actually now that I look at the numbers, it makes even less sense. Almost the entire reduction of 4800 athlete down to 3000 is explained by the removal of events. There's no reason to halve our swim team, considering we likely have the third strongest team
