Provisional Medal Count here. Since last time, Kazakhstan, Sweden and Poland have joined the table for a total of 24 nations, just 1 less than the record of 25 - which could be at least matched since China has qualified for the semifinals of Wheelchair Curling. Unsurprisingly, Canada and USA will fight for the Ice Hockey gold, while South Korea and Italy will play the bronze medal match.

Because of the hot climate and constant reschedules, yesterday we didn't have any medal event, which is always sad for a multi-sport Games. I'm worried because there's still a lot of events to come and only 3 days to go.

A mild surprise came from Wheelchair Curling as the favourites for a medal Neutral Paralympic Athletes ended only in 5th not qualifying for the Semifinals. Russia won 2/3 of the last world championships, being the runner-up at the other. And just like at the Olympics, South Korea is doing a great job at home topping the round-robin standings. Semifinals are:

South Korea vs Norway
China vs Canada

Norway and Canada won their matches against these teams in round-robin, but now things could easily go the other way around.
