the pools of the preliminary stage of the 2026/2027 World Cup have been determined by WBSC

 

the Pool A will be played in  Prague between June 16th through 20th, 2026 and will feature  

 

the pool B will be played in  Lima from July 14th through July 18th, 2026 and will feature  

 

the Pool C will be staged in  Oklahoma City from September 12th through 16th, 2026 featuring  

 

the Top 2 in each pool and 2 wild card teams (1 necesarily being  if they don't qualify on the field) will advance to the World Cup Finals (Talobilla Park in  Redcliffe, Brisbane, April 5th through April 11th, 2027)

Pool B looks to be quite simple for  and  meanwhile Pool C may end up being a blood bath with four Top 8 nations

Indeed… at least one out of Mexico, China and Netherlands will be cut too soon.

tbh,  are quite on a downward trajectory in the last few years, I'd be surprised if they can win games vs  or  

they're still in the top part of the world ranking because of the past and the youth tournaments rather than thanks their senior team performing well in the global champs recently

 

in pool B I wouldn't underestimate  (in such kind of tournament they can manage the use of Corrick in the circle better than how they did in the last Euro Champs and be very dangerous in a in-or-out match vs ) and even  on paper could field a very good team (provided that they can overcome the current political situation)

 

the most balanced pool might prove to be the A one, with  and  battling out for only 2 spots (even if  have the parachute of the wild card because they host the Finals in 2027) and  might also be very dangerous on a given day, not to mention , which you never know what kind of team they field nowadays (but they have tradition and know the game)
