:GBR maintain 100% record at the European Softball Championships with 8-0 win over :SUI

They've got 2 more pool matches tomorrow - starting off with :UKR in the first match of the day and finishing up with :NED in the last match. Both matches likely to be a step up from the competition they've faced so far with Ukraine ranked 21st in the world and the Netherlands ranked 6th. These are the kind of matches GB would need to be winning if they are to have hope of getting the European quota for LA'28

:GBR take the bronze medal at European Softball Championships with a 4-2 win over :ESP (having previously lost to them in the last pool game)

That's the 3rd Championship in a row where GB have medaled - although previous 2 versions we took home the silver.

Lots of positives to take away but if GB wants to be competing in Los Angeles, they will need to come up with a way to defeat both :ITA and :NED

Seemingly we have one ace pitcher but are short on depth, kind of like Scottish cricket.

  • 1 month later...

The 2026 Rugby World SVNS kicks off next month in Dubai.

Given the announcement that GB had terminated their full time Sevens program earlier this year, it was looking a little bleak for us, but :SCO has stepped in as saviour (at least for the men's side) by establishing a full-time programme as part of their new high-performance pathway.
