IMO, the ice is terrible which evens out the playing field a lot. It's why we're seeing Canada and the US struggle a bit. It's anyone's game, as we've already seen.

Canada will play Finland in the hockey semi final on Friday at 10:40am Eastern time. 

 

I'm annoyed that they get the morning game again. Canada is the #1 seed, imo they should play second and have a better home country time slot.

It Is due to money. USA TV bought evening time slot. All their matches are in evening.

Due to it, as i wrote they have advantage of fans of USA and also Canada knew in which time they will play QF before start of tournament (and they could buy tickets in advance)
