Open Water Swimming at the Aquatics AQUA World Championships 2025

Recommended Posts

Throughout the race, the water temperature measured was 30.9 degrees, right at the limit; at 31 degrees, the interruption would be triggered. What a travesty, blatantly feeling the athletes the temperature was higher

Two silver for Italy in Olympic events. A good result, but gold was out of reach. Now we'll see some non-Olympic events. We'll see if Paltrinieri competes everywhere. These conditions seem to be favorable for Italy, as the all the team is competing well.

 Johnson getting that gold after a brilliant season and it was great to see Lee just sneaking in for bronze!

Also outstanding job by Bernd Berkhahn to coach both winners.

Just took a look at the results and saw that :MON Pou won Monaco’s first ever medal with a bronze in women’s 10km open water swimming, love to see it :hyper::clap:

6 silver medal. I fear we may have the first World Championships in the 21st century without a single gold medal. It will be very difficult to win gold in the pool. It's supposedly a post-Olympic year, but it's going to hurt.

However, it's clear how determined the Germans are to get their hands on the gold, as they even took Gose of the pool. I hope Welbroeck not wins anything in the pool again, because I don't like such dominators.
