For :AUS  Scotty James

Has been around for many years now and is much loved here in Australia and obviously has incredible talent.
World champs wins, X games wins, an Olympic silver and bronze but he is just missing that elusive Olympic gold.

I am looking forward to seeing how he goes again as I can’t think of another athlete in my country who is more deserving right now. 🙂

Any non Australians? Or just Australians :d

Well this thread flopped horrifically…

Maybe just a bit premature.  Revive it this time next year.

Too early to have favourites? Personally, I don’t think so.

TBH I just try to support European athletes where I can, but I do prefer some countries over others in certain sports.

Definitely agree with a lot of these.  In general, everyone from countries that don't have much of a tradition or many facilities, so would add people like

:AUS Anthony Ferlazzo in Luge

:BEL biathletes

:AND in everything

:IRL Maloney-Westgaard in Cross country
