Congrats to Peru. Rather than just investing for 2019 and dropping off, the nation continues to invest in sport years after. Now that they have the 2027 Pan American Games it'll be interesting to see what they can do.

Can they close the gap between Argentina/Colombia/Cuba?

I found out that for an event to be considered official there is a minimum of 3 athletes from different countries. If a country backs out there is a penalty of US$1,000 so probably that's what happene

It will depend also on how much Cuba and Venezuela are prepare to win the medals. Also Chile is their direct opponent at Pan American level.

Next year Bolivarian Games are scheduled in Guayaquil :ECU will see.

  and the IIHF continues to find creative ways to embarrass itself. Someone accidentally called this round 'round 3' and they have kept it and made it possibly official. The group title letters make no sense. According to their main page https://www.iihf.com/en/static/56966/women_s_olympic_winter_game Germany should have qualified for the Olympics already. Whoever is making the pages has no idea what they are doing. crazy that they have this much disdain for their fans.
