Finaly we have change of coach. I am not saying that Thurnbichler is a bad coach but as a fact it couldnt have gone that path any longer. Maciusiak can be a good coach. Sometimes you have to change sth to change sth.

Maciusiak is a budget option for the 'lean years' that are set to kick in. This was planned for many years once Stoch, Kubacki & Żyła retire (or become too old to have good results). We don't have any juniors and the development has been screwed for many seasons now. Results should get even worse especially if Wąsek suddenly drops off w/o Thurnbichler (as he was the only one who clearly profited under TT's coaching).

In the end Lanisek who jumped 13 meters shorter from a lower gate and better landing wins the last event of the season. Important feather on the cap for Planica who reclaims the longest jump record from Vikersund ;)

It probably meant to happen next year but i don't agree as to results. Head is important, sth went wrong there and even when they knew it's over they started to look better in Planica. I believe it will get better and if he stays at junior level no, it ain't gonna be cheaper at all. Rather the other way round. Even if his salary will be a bit smaller his level will force bigger investments in youth squad. So this theory is like 50/50 now (i admit i didn't expect this junior version but it seems realistic now).

I fell in love with sports.....since i first seen it

    • this is not funny at all, pal
    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
    • Always dreamed Gretzky will draw Slovakia was another moment I can already remove from my things to do before die list
    • Finland have been awful in almost all winter sports, well beside ice hockey and cross-country from time to time, for a lot of years. It's very good to see them building people to challenge for wins again. Their new coach has done wonders it seems.
    • 14th June in Philadelphia against Cote d´Ivoire   20th June inToronto against Curacao   and 25th June in Philadeplphia to kick out  home    Not easy, but not the most difficult group. Should be okay. Vamos
