Both massive state-sponsored doping and the whole war thing are a bit of a different situation than this Norway ski jumping case, to be fair. I'm going to assume the Norwegian prime minister or king wasn't involved in these decisions.

Belarus has only itself to blame for taking part in Putin's war, even though it got nothing out of it. Other countries from the former USSR didn`t take part in this war and are not subject to any sanctions, e.g. Kazakhstan, Georgia, etc. This simply shows that Belarus is no longer an independent country, but a part of Russia, because Lukashenko makes decisions in line with the interests of Russia, not his own country. In addition, many athletes from BLR play under a neutral flag, e.g. Sabalenka is even No. 1 in women's tennis:)

Oh, systematical cheating is systematical cheating. Comparing Norway and Belarus...not fair. People in Belarus don't have democracy. Belarus has nth to say in fact as a country. So they are being punished for being a neighbour of Russia? It can be doping or technological doping (astma doping too), doesnt matter. Cheating is cheating.  King? Probably not, some key people in their sport ..rather yes. The scale of scandal is huge. Exclusions their nordic ski for some year...minimum. If Belarus cant play hockey that would be fair. Belarus doesnt take part in this war. In fact as for weak neighbour Lukashenka was kinda having balls. But still in some matters he has nth to say. Ok, punish us for taking part having a hub near Rzeszów. To be true we are more active in this war than Belarus.

Has anyone got a summary of what is happening that is not in Italian or Norwegian?  French would do.

Just use an online translator :d

Ski jumping is popular in Poland, so maybe Poles will post some of their links? In Italy, unfortunately, there is only 1 site that writes anything about this sport and I have just posted a link to one article from there.

Sure, i can post sth but isn't too soon? I read some articles but u know, rather acusations, probabilities etc. It looks serious though, well i mean that serious consequencies face Norway, their ski jumping. But still rather in expectations

In short, problems involve not only their suits (probably bindings too at least). Austrians are pushing the hardest for harsh punishment. (In fact clear why. They worked all season hard and just got cheated.) Norwegians are acknowledging more and more but fis has to make their official enquiry. They rather will be valid to jump in Raw Air. Austrians all those forms of support treat like full range doping.

OK, so rather like the cases that brought down Johaug and all the asthmatic cross country skiers about a decade back? They have been pushing the rules to the limit to get results.  Not strictly illegal, but unsporting, like cycling team attacking after a crash has brought down the yellow jersey?

    • Despite total domination by the Norwegian men (and yes, it's exhausting and boring), the accomplishments this weekend of Emil Iversen and Einar Hedegart are worth highlighting, despite them being Norwegian.    Iversen was dropped by the Norwegian national team after the opener in Beitostølen 2 weeks ago and was not taken to Ruka. Instead, he won both the 10k and 20k Interval Classic starts in Gålå in the Norwegian Cup last week, which granted him a spot on the start line in Trondheim. He took full advantage of that opportunity and finished on the podium in the skiathlon, and finished just off the podium in today's 10k Interval Freestyle. This definitely puts his name in serious contention for a spot on the Olympic team, which looked incredibly doubtful just a few days ago.    Einar Hedegart, the 24-year-old biathlete who decided to challenge the stereotype that biathletes are inferior skiers to their cross-country counterparts, just won the 10k Interval Start against all of Norway's best in a de facto Olympic trial.    Yes, it's exhausting seeing nothing but Norwegian flags on the men's side, but there can be excitement just beneath the surface at times.
