2024 Olympics - Day 15 (August 10)

Whether Canada beats New Zealand or not it doesn't matter.  TO beat New Zealand Canada has a slim chance but I guess it falls on Phil Wizard - who just guaranteed himself a silver.  I think that's the last strong medal chance though I believe we have outside shot of cycling if it has not been done with the defending gold medallist. I haven't heard much so that can't be good.  Fingers crossed for Phil.

Heartbreak for Arop stiil a silver. So close.  Like Vincent's win itt was a photo finish type thing.

I love the different personallities.  Andre for a runner is a lot more subdued than some off his compatriots and certainly not nearly as brash and animaled as several of the Americans  It is viewpoint but athletes like Noah Lylles and Jordan Chiles who are true top athletes, copetetive, gifted but sometimesthey rubbed me the wrong way.  Chiles I know was upset about the rules for the All arouund finals and voiced her frustration.  Likewise when she won bronze with all the controversy she made some rather "confident" or arrogant comments.. I get it she won a bronze medal and arrguably has the right to gloat and be excited under the circumstances a little restraint might be nice.

I note that there is a lot of f alse news out there at this olympics.  Biles being pregnat. Chiles dying.  Romania getting the bronze because Chiles filed 1 minute too late her appeal.

I actually feel a lot better about facing :FRA Dany Dan than :USA Victor

Fingers crossed for Phil.  A bit nervous.  I have to admit I am not sure about this format. This isn't boxing or wrestlling so the judgging 1 against another  whenit could be like gymnastiics/figure skating  instead one on one. Plus the names it really doesn't give the olympic vibe. Though now a days it seems a lot of it is marketing and bringing in the viewers and young.  I have never seen 3x3 and I only saw the women.  I guess I am too uneducated but it looked kind of sloppy like what  you see on your local courts - sorry that is insulting to these athletes it just seemed so messy and lack of control..  I guess the shot clock is so short with time it makes it more desperation like.
