I genuinely think were gonna get less than 15 golds now, what a shocker

It will surely have some repercussions despite the fact we will surely beat Bejing medal tally and quite possibly won’t be that many behind Rio and Tokyo.

20 Million funding vs how many 100 millions for these games. No reason to lose to Australia

It will be spun as a positive if they meet the medal target which they probably will, there's no expectation put on golds.

The BMX racing and the windsurfing one two punch cursed us. Downhill from then.

I feel it might be giving money to the unproductive sports like Archey, Judo and Hockey that get the blame in part.

There is target to make top 5. That’s not a certainty at this time.

Honestly amazed Keely managed to win and also benefit from some pre games luck as well.

As it should be. Winning *any* Olympic medal is an incredible achievement. Winning a gold medal is a spectacular achievement.

Reading some of the comments on here, you would think that people believe that :GBR have some kind of God given right to win golds and that the other nations don't train just as hard as our folk do.

Yes, it is frustrating that we haven't won as many golds as we would like. But that's all it is. Each and every medal we win should be cheered to the rafters. Not frowned upon because it isn't the colour we want.

    • With a week to go till the deadline for the world invitational, the rosters look beefy for the discus on both sides.24 entries for the men[19 accepted in so far] and 25 for the women[18 accepted so far] For the men so far there are three 70 meter throwers[i count Denny as that since it's just 4 centimeters off his pb]10 from mid 66 to low 69,three of 65 and over, four from almost 64 to almost 65.On the women's side the 18 accepted throwers all have a pb of over 60 meters.11 of them have  pbs over 64 plus.of the ones still not there besides Valerie and Yaime who have been marketed so i can only assume they will join, such names as  Sandra Elkasevic,Bin Feng, and jordine van klinken aren't signed up yet, jordine's probably the most likely of them to join in tough feng would be a cool surprise,i somehow don't see Sandra doing this, but it would be awesome if she did.Stahl and ceh aren't in yet on the men's side, ceh has been marketed while stahl hasn't been mentioned at all,[pretty sure stahl will not be there],Lukas[last name is too wild for me to even try] and lawrence okoye aren't there yet either but i'm betting both will be joining in.
    • What a shame. That would have been amazing.
    • It's complete American domination in the women's discus rankings so far this year, they occupy the top 4 slots, and the WORST result of those four was achieved at Ramona .Third place currently belongs to Ciera Jackson who had a huge almost 4 METER pr at the west coast relays on friday-64.42[previous best was 60.77 from march of 2023,and she opened her season a week ago with at that time her second best result ever of 60.14]she also had a 63.66 throw to back this new pb up,and finally with her new personal best she took down the school record that stood for 36 YEARS[Btw Valerie Allman actually competed in Ramona on march 30th but conditions were apparently far from ideal and she fouled four times and her best was a 63.61,i don't doubt that in the event that she competes in the  world intational, the conditions will be perfect,i wouldn't be so bold as to say she wouldl get the world record but for sure i think she could get a new personal best.
    • So after finding this this morning     I started to search for more news about the date and ticket prices all over the world web !   I found this then       to just notice later that   it was April fools     so yeah, that was my day
