Iona Anderson is selected for the individual 100 back (came third at trials so takes Mollie's spot). Jenna Strauch will be in the 200 breast (has OQT from last year).

Neill will swim the 200 free. Armbruster the 100 fly. Lee the 200IM.

Only Petric and Neill have the OQT for the 200IM but don't know if Neill's body will allow him to swim IM.

Ok cheers guys I have updated it

I guess some things we won’t know exactly for sure until much closer to the day such as if Neill does swim the 200IM.

Its confirmed that MOC has pulled out of the 100 back?

Not yet. Anderson could be relay only I guess but I think if MOC didn't pull out of the 100 back they'd just use Barclay for medley relay heats and not add Anderson to the team.

Maybe I am too ambitious

But if our swimming team gets to that 8-10 gold mark once again then it is VERY possible for us to break that 17 gold record. Outside of swimming we have a good amount of chances, more than many would think. But swimming is crucial for setting up the second week. I also cannot see a gold in rowing but canoeing will hopefully replace that.

I might be a little conservative, but it is the Olympics.

Heartbreak will happen!
Jess Fox could win all 3 in Slalom, but I put one gold

as for Rowing, the Mens 8 have gone all out .Ive picked them to win.

Surfing should be Gold, but conservatively,Ive got Ethan Irvin for Bronze

Ive got no idea on 3x3 basketball,so you got me interested.

Swimming is my main interest.

10 is very possible but could be more or less!

Its probably our only chance ever to defeat the US tally.

    • The IOC is very TV ratings and ticket sale focused when it comes to sports to add / drop, seemingly. Which is probably not the best metric to use, but it does explain why alpine snowboarding is in more trouble than something like aerials or ski half-pipe (which should probably be closer to the chopping block if we go by competitive depth).

    • all races are shown on public tv in places like Italy, Austria and streamed all around the Continent on the Discovery+/HBO Max popularity, instead, is another story... except maybe in Austria, tv ratings are marginal and the athletes are basically unknown, like in all the non-mainstream sports (which means, here in Italy, football, ferrari and -the newcomer in the last few years- Sinner, who replaced Valentino Rossi in this very poor list)   ps at least, there are quite a few kids practicing the sport in our mountain villages
    • Finally got in as well after about an hour-ish in line.
    • Nobody in the US watches it is the problem the IOC has. That and it's kinda dead as a grassroots sport - I ski and I've only seen one Alpine board in my entire life. It was displayed in a store as a curiosity and it was *old*. Much easier to participate in snowboardcross at a recrational level.   I don't think it should be removed, but Alpine snowboarding has a perception problem as a dead sport, at least outside of Europe (I don't have a good sense of how often Alpine snowboarding is shown on TV in Europe and how popular those broadcasts are).
