Just about to post the same thing, but my version of the story has women going off at 08:00 Paris Time as scheduled, but the men afterwards at 10:45, so not simultanously.

At this point just make it a duathlon and get it over with, the mixed relay isn't that far away and it's not really fair on the athletes not knowing when they will compete.

If tomorrow doesn't work, 2 August is the backup with 8 different scenarions, some of which include a duathlon option. That's what the coaches have been told, at least.

Better scrap the mixed relay if that improves the chances of having the two individual races done somehow. Not sure if it does though
