He's not the only British athlete who has been in this position - it's pretty ridiculous that Matthew Coward-Holley only just scraped in through the ranking. Does the quota in the Men's 50m 3 Pos pretty much give us another place in the 10 Air Rifle as well? Then secondly, especially if the answer to Q1 is "Yes", could they give the quota that Bargeron gained to Dean Bale??? He has got QROG points, but I think he has only competed at 10m once (World Champs 2023), and cannot find a second qualifying championship in his CV. However, the finer details are a bit beyond me. Bargeron will be eligible to compete in both the 10m and 3x50m (as McIntosh is on the women's side) - but GB wouldn't be able to nominate both Bale and Bargeron as we only secured 1 athlete quota. Ross Haslam, Daniel Goodfellow and Eden Cheng all won quotas they didn't get. In modern Pentathlon it looks increasingly likely Olivia Green will no ge the quota she won.
