no, this is just the Cadet World Championship (u18), the Junior World Championship is the u21 event     the Junior Worlds will be in  Dushanbe in October (2nd through 5th)

Historic Medal for :EGY

 

:MAD and :IND both very close to winning a medal as well. 

India 5th

Madagascar 7th (But if won the repechage contest would of won 3rd since Japanese withdrew in match for bronze) 

 

 

Olympians at the Junior Worlds: 

:BRA Michel Augusto R16

:TKM Serdar Rahimov R32

:SUI Binta Ndiya R64 (went up division) 

:TKM Maysa Pardayeva R64

:ITA Savita Russo 2nd

:MAD Aina Laura Madrasoanaivo Razafy 7th

IJF awarded the 2026 World Championships to :AZE Baku (dates TBD) and the 2027 World Championships to :KAZ Kazakhstan (city and dates TBD)

 

the 2026 Worlds will mark the official start of the 2028 Olympic Games qualification campaign

 

the 2025 World Championships had already been awarded to :HUN Budapest (home of the IJF :rolleyes:) and will be held from June 13th through June 20th

The Olympic Bronze Medalist Tara Babulfath of Sweden :SWE is the new European U23 Champion. This as a 18-years old and after a 3 months suspension. No one can stop our girl. :clap:

European u23 Championships: 

 

Babulfath :SWE, Levai Sanchez :ESP, Latisev :MDA, with pretty expected wins, 

 

BUT, Olak :GER, Puljiz :CRO , Cret :ROU, Demirel and Ozturk :TUR all lose!:yikes: 

(Olak and Ozturk I am most surprised with :yikes:)

 

Two nice bronze medals for Jorgić and Radulj :SRB
