Switzerland is the clear favourite for gold with Odermatt/Meillard and Von Allmen/Nef. It's weird they didn't go with Von Allmen/Meillard, which would have been an even more untouchable duo, barring mistakes. It's as if they opted to go for a 1-2 instead of maximizing their chances of winning. My personal pick for bronze would be the Austrian duo of Kriechmayr and Feller. Still, it is a very difficult race to predict, and I don't remember the slalom course particularly well because there have been no slalom races in Bormio for a long time (I'm pretty sure it's quite flat, though).

I genuinely wonder why Switzerland decided to kind of spread their chances instead of go with the dream team. Why not put your best slalom guy with your best downhill guy?
