So first Petra´s speed events weekend try is over

Fridays Downhill: Bib32 --- 6th place

Saturdays Downhill: Bib31 --- 11th place

Sundays Super-G: Bib 31 ---- 6th place

not bad, the goal from Magoni was to earn 60 points this weekend, achieved and surpassed.

For this year it´s all but apparently, she said it in the flash interview right now, next season they are going to compete almost all events - depending on the how will the preparation for the new season go on. especially she need to get used more on the longer speed skis

I hope she's not expecting the same results on normal speed courses though, if there was one weekend to try it, it was obviously this one where the technical specialists had a huge advantage :d

This was a speed weekend only by name. DH was a glorified Super G with giant slalom sections. I've never seen such nonsense. Rosa Khutor and Garmisch will be true speed events.

our Ilka completely lost her form. She changed all her team this year, but i dont know where the problem is.

Tina Maze's magic skis are gone? It was no secret she used Maze's custom made skis once Tina retired. If she lost access to those (because why would Stoeckli continue to put so much effort since Stuhec isn't an all-arounder like Maze was) that explains it all IMO.

ES player is acting up whole weekend.

actually, it's been a disaster for quite a while now...since the last major update last autumn, they've gone back to the unwatchable 25 fps pictures...

and their streams are having a lot of troubles all week long...it all started last sunday/monday when the tennis tournament in Melbourne opened the doors...I'm not following tennis, but it's all week that I'm reading they have a lot of worldwide troubles, with matches missing completely, others being cut at the beginning or at the end, picture quality lowering down every while...

tbh, they are by far the worst sport OTT service among all those I normally use from a technical point of view...

in this sense, they're not worth even the 25€ for 1 year I paid for on the last Black Friday (and I subscribed only because of the Olympics and because I fear they're going to heat up the price when the Olympics come)...

luckily, I have a lotr of options thanks to my satellite dish and I can avoid using EuspPlayer and/or the Italian tv (rai)...

Thank God for Rai Sport on my TV dish :p

Daniella Ceccharelli is quite animated with her commentary.

you're lucky if you don't understand what they say...:yikes::facepalm:

otherwise you wouldn't be so happy to follow almost any sport on that tv channel...

I see one Steven Amiez making his WC debut with bib #72. Guess that's Sebastien's son?

yes, he's Seb's son (he's already 21, however...I thought he was younger)...

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
