next Friday, Nicola Tumulero will make his comeback with the Italian National team after about 1 and 1/2 years out because of that infamous injury sustained in the placing races of the Team Pursuit in Pyeongchang...

 

I really hope he can get back to the same level he had before that dog day of February 2018...

And he did an excellent job in the B division today.

yeah, the important thing was getting back to a world level competition...

 

now it's time to start working to get back where he once was...

To be fair, he had like two really, really good races. Some others that were definitely good and mostly races that were not much better than today's one (remember this is Minsk, not exactly a super track).

and in fact I didn't make any comparison about times nor even other skaters...just the one opposed to his teammate, he should outskate even on 1 leg...

 

p.s. for what it might count (not so much, tbh), in Minsk he won the European 5000m title just before the 2018 Olympics...so, he still has some good feelings and connections to this track and place...
