At least one big-name meet this weekend - the Kip Keino Classic from Nairobi.  Here’s the Preview.

Also, it is the NCAA Regional Final weekend, so very high standards, likely WLs in lots of events esp relays.  Most prestigious meets spread across various pay services, but some free.

Two of the good NCAA Division 1 meets this weekend are FTA (although the red-hot sprint ones aren’t)

Mountain West (Colorado, Nevada, unfashionable bits of California etc) has its own app on Amazon, Roku, Apple etc

PAC-12 - ie LA, Bay Area, Oregon, so very good field & distance - has a 12 hour rolling YT stream - just rewind to get to the bit you want.

Issam Asinga :ZAM:SUR:USA 9.83 (2.6m/s) 100m at the Pure Athletics Spring Invitational:hyper::bowdown: Young rising star to keep an eye out for on the road to Paris 2024.

Issam has not yet decided which country he will be competing for internationally, with his options being United States, Suriname and Zambia. His dad, Tommy Asinga, holds the national record for Suriname over 400m, 800m and 1500m.

Here’s a link to the race https://twitter.com/travismillerx13/status/1650295676620750852?s=46&t=Ttq53JR4XTfuqqmYe6kI9w

He has opted for……:SUR, so that’s potentially going to be many firsts. His mother :ZAM Ngozi Mwanamwambwa* was also an Olympian.

* OK, I admit it - copy & paste.  :shame:

Reynuld Cheruyiot baffles the world’s press by doing his post-race interview in :KEN Swahili.*

*Or possibly an even more obscure language than that.

    • That was known from the start for  and will be planned for.   Sadly just the reality of sports in North America. Canada and the US are both huge, a flight from Vancouver to Halifax or from Seattle to Miami is north of five hours. Every sports league in North America has to deal with this kind of travel logistics on the regular, so none of this will seem particularly unusual to a North American player.
    • That’s not a long distance, it’s barely a 2h flight and there is no difference in timezone. Easily doable for fans as well.
