Damn, Bautista is really crushing it. Going comfortably now for his 7th straight win. That Ducati can't be that amazing, since Davies isn't doing anything with it.

I think it's a combination of Bautista being great, Davies having a mediocre season (although right now he's not bad at all) and the Ducati being awesome. No way Bautista is absolutely destroying everyone every single race like this 100% on skills :p

I thought Rea was dominant...

Our commentators said, that for the next round, by the regulations, they will reduce the power of the Ducati. So maybe, there could be some more intrigue next week.

Same here. I hope so, because whatever the reason (great Ducati, great Bautista), this is getting boring

So, Kawasaki can't win in a fair fight and needs to alter the rules to have a shot at Bautista? It's not like Davies is really tearing it up on the second Ducati? It only shows how weak of a champion Rea was. And what about his dominance and erasing all Fogarty records? That wasn't any boring?

Who said that?

In terms of wins and championships WSBK has been boring for quite some time.

    • Tragic performance of the Italian women's team - last place and probably something bad happened at the start. There are so few starts in the team that it will be a problem to even qualify for the World Championships - 8 best teams. After Lollobrigida's return and Fontana's addition, I was counting on much more, but it seems that there are too few joint trainings. With individual quality, we have no right to lose to the Czechs without Sablikova, or anonymous Korea. And unfortunately this start will count for a lot, because there are only 2 more and our chances of playing at the World Championships are minimal. In my opinion with Fontana going from Short Track to Long Trackand vice versa, we won't be much use in the team. Here great teamwork is needed, not improvisation. As of today, there is very little chance that we will qualify the women's team for the games.
    • men advanced to Division A for the first time since 2018 (when they went 1-8). Don't expect much progress next year
    • Ok, but there we are talking about a person who has parents from different countries. Colturi has nothing to do with Albania.
    • There are few people here from Austria, Switzerland, Norway and Finland.
    • The worst editions in XXI century for us were Vancouver: 5 medals (only 1 gold for Razzoli's on the penultimate day) and Sochi: 8 medals (but no gold). Turin was already a prelude to this bad period, although the number of gold medals was ok. Overall we won fewer medals at home than in 2002 and this was probably the only case in the 21st century when the host country won fewer medals at home than 4 years earlier, either in summer or winter. In general the years 2008-2016 were very bad in our sport, both in summer and winter. Only 2018 in Korea was a slight rebuild + 2 fantastic summer editions in Tokyo and Paris. in Beijing 2022 we won a lot of medals - 17 but only 2 gold (If it weren't for Gogga's injury, I think it would have been 4 gold).

    • In terms of total medals, yes. In terms of golds, I’d be fine with anywhere from 6-8.   @intoronto you don’t think we’ll do better or at least the same? Bit surprising.
    • Tadeucci was very good and took bronze
    • On the Olympics I don't like to count golds to analyse the performance, I think the best data are the top8 and medals. In both fields I expect a big improvement (obviously not on the 'pure' number, but on the percentage of medal or top8 events)
    • December is probably going to be focused on either Italy/Austria or Norway, but the plans are still being made as we speak. Renting a car, driving from the Netherlands down to Italy, finding accomodations and help with preparing the skis and all that...trying to make it as an independent 'solo' athlete is...hard     I can't go and help out, because we got the keys to our house (finally) and there's lots of work to be done there, so it's all happening at the same time and the mind is getting crazy (for both of us)
