Right, because if one young athlete goes on to dominate after an impressive performance, every young athlete will go on to dominate after an impressive performance? :p

Not everyone but Norway & Sweden have a clear edge when it comes to nursing a world class talent.

Nah, way too early to say Karlsson will dominate :p I'd say it's a lot more likely she won't, the step from this to domination is still rather big.

yeah...and let's not forget that Ebba Andersson is only 2 years older and there's always a certain Helene Marie Fossesholm ready on the runway, 2 years younger than Karlsson and already only a bunch of seconds behind her at the Junior Worlds just a few weeks ago...

I think women's CC Skiing is gonna get a lot more interesting than now in quite a short while...:p

Don't get me wrong, obviously she has the talent to do it, I just think the step to actually dominate is so big it's more likely she won't do it (even though I'd be surprised not to see her fight for overall World Cup wins at some point).

Given her junior results, she's a versatile all-arounder, sprints, 10k & skiathlon, she can do it all. Norwegians ain't getting any younger, Johaug will be 33yo during the next WCh, Oestberg is okay but was never dominant and Weng is just falling off the cliff now. They have Skistad but they need to find another junior to cover for the veterans. Of course they can find one but Karlsson has a head start already.

Huge talent as well indeed, although also in her case it's a matter of waiting to see how she grows. For all we know, this is her physical peak :p (probably not, same for Karlsson, but it's always possible with young athletes)
