intoronto 4,366 Posted June 26, 2021 #1041 Share Posted June 26, 2021 Yee and Butterworth 1-2 again in the women's steeplechase, but just outside the auto qualifying time. However, with the results Yee will move into 38th, and Butterworth, will be 44th out of 45.
intoronto 4,366 Posted June 26, 2021 #1042 Share Posted June 26, 2021 Tomorrow stories to watch out for: First race, Harrison and Abdul-Rashid .27 seconds outside their SB in qualifying directly. They need the standard atp to qualify. Taylor Erdhardt had an amazing first 4 events, and then blew it in the 400, however, if he can get PBs all 5 events on day 2, he has an outside shot. Adam Keenan goes in the hammer throw, he needs a huge result to go to Tokyo. There are 4 Russians listed ahead of him.
intoronto 4,366 Posted June 26, 2021 #1043 Share Posted June 26, 2021 Michelle Harrison with a 12.98.... now .14 away from the standard. Today's race was in horrible conditions (heavy rain) so maybe she can pull it off on Tuesday (her last chance)
intoronto 4,366 Posted June 27, 2021 #1044 Share Posted June 27, 2021 Adam Keenan just threw 72.87m at nationals, which will put him tied in 35th position (with the German athlete holding the TB). THere are three Russians in the rankings whose results can be discounted, so it looks like Adam is just going to miss the Olympics based on a tiebreak! Unfortunately the men's hammer will not be held on Tuesday, but if they could add it last minute, he can get more points. Tomorrow's storylines: Jordan Young in the discus, will need the standard. SB is 1.16m away from the standard. Rachel Anders + Trinity Tutti in women's discus will also need the standard Lucia Stafford will try to hit the standard to join her sister in Tokyo in the 1500, but she is also in a ranking spot Charles Philibert-Thiboutot will need the standard in the 1500 to qualify Michael Mason + Django Lovett chase the standard in the high jump. Mason is comfortably in with a quota in the WR, but Lovett will need a 2.24+ jump and a top 2 finish to move ahead in the rankings into the top 32 (currently in 33)
intoronto 4,366 Posted June 27, 2021 #1045 Share Posted June 27, 2021 Diving update: Vincent Riendeau will not compete at nationals, which means the team going to Tokyo will likely have 9 divers 3m: Ciprick is competing, Fofana could challenge. No Gagne unfortunately, doesn't appear his injury has fully healed. 10m: Zsombor Murray/Wiens + Riendeau for the synchro event 3m: Abel, Ware, Citrini-Beaulieu (synchro) 10m: Benefito + McKay (individual + synchro)

Maybe they’ve added it in or maybe I’m mis remembering.
