filled a protest after wrong flag used at EuroVolley match 

 

The Slovenian Volleyball Federation addressed a protest letter to the European Volleyball Confederation after the Slovak flag was used instead of the Slovenian one at Thursday's EuroVolley semi-final match between Slovenia and Poland.

 

The basis for this is the incorrect use of the flag during Thursday’s semi-final match of the European Championship between Slovenia and Poland in the PalaLottomatica arena.

 

The organizers used the Slovak flag instead of the Slovenian flag on the LED billboards, the LED cube and in the official competition bulletin. This confused the management of the Slovenian national team all the more because it was not the first time this had happened.

 

“This is not the first such behavior by the organizers of the biggest competitions under the auspices of the European Volleyball Confederation, at OZS we expect an apology from the organizers, the Italian Volleyball Federation and the European Volleyball Confederation, and at the same time we request the European Volleyball Confederation to tighten control over the organizers of the competitions and thus avoid such incidents in the future situations,” announced the Slovenian Federation.

Not a good day for but lost against a very strong team, however is a silver medal
