Josh 6,115 Posted July 30, 2023 #93 Share Posted July 30, 2023 She's been struggling badly this year, certainly wasn't expecting that...
Josh 6,115 Posted July 30, 2023 #94 Share Posted July 30, 2023 (edited) Newman has the bar raised to 4.83m, which would be a new Canadian record + PB should she clear it. Edited July 30, 2023 by Josh Surlympics

Here are the events we have medal chances in - Men's 4x100 - Decathlon (1-2) - Men's 200m (Not counting out De Grasse) - Women's Hammer Throw- Rogers - Women's Shot Put- Mitton - Men's 800m- Arop - Men's 5000m/10000m- Ahmed - Women's Pole Vault- Newman @Surlympics forgot Katzberg (Men's Hammer Throw) Decathlon will be tight with the likes of Neugebauer, Mayer, Moloney, and Garland, so don't see us having two athletes on the podium. Newman has been really inconsistent this season, which is why I don't think she'll win a medal, but if you catch her on a good day she's right up there with the best. Ahmed is a great distance runner but has been in subpar form this season. That being said, I'd say 4-5 medals, with one gold. So pretty much the same as last year.
