Metallurg Zhlobin won the Belarussian title for the second time in their history.

 

They won the final series against the highly favourite Yunost Minsk in 7 games, with the championship clincher played on the road in Minsk in front of 15.086 spectators...

meanwhile in Germany, the Eisbären Berlin won the decisive game #5 of the semifinal series against Adler Mannheim by a score of 3-0 (0-0, 1-0, 2-0) and clinched a spot in the DEL Finals, where they're going to face Red Bull Munich.

sorry for the lack of updates, but it's a busy (and full of troubles) weekend...:facepalm:

CSKA Moscow completed an amazing comeback in the final series and thanks to a 4-1 road win in Magnitogorsk in game #7, won the 2022 Gagarin Cup.

EV Zug and ZSC Lions Zürich will play the decisive 7th game of the Swiss NLA Finals (puck drop @ 8 p.m. local/CET) since last Friday night EV Zug won game #6 by a score of 2-0 and completed an unbelievable comeback from 0-3 down in the series...

 

Tonight they might write a memorable page in the history of the Swiss (and global) Hockey...

So, they're crown Slovak Champions :champion:

p.s let me tell you...those Germans are crazy! so many back-to-back games (with long travels in between) in the final stint of the playoffs...

      Apparently was leading 0.4 seconds to go by 3 points but still managed to lose the match     Anyway it looks there some progress from the loses to Albania and co from couple of years ago... maybe thhere a chance for a win in a international match in the next decade. As San Marino proved last week in football, only sky is the limit

      Hope so (for my adopted country, Norway, that is). Torino 2006 was the first Winter Olympics I followed closely and it was nothing short of a disaster for Norway. Strangely enough, that was actually the reason I became an avid fan of Norwegian winter sports and have been ever since. As for my actual home country, Greece, a medal for Ginnis in slalom (alpine skiing) would be a miracle.
