Well. A lot of the music played in Denmark for Christmas is the same as most others (at least Western countries)   But I would say that most Danish Christmas music goes into one of three categories.   All three have plenty of different songs, but I put out some personal favourites   The old songs, mainly religious ones. Some have been made into more modern versions.  For this I pick Gasolin's version of Dejlig er Jorden, an old hymn of which the Danish text is from 1850:       The second is the more funny or sarcastic songs. Making fun of Christmas. Wouldn't be a proper lead-up to an Olympics without plenty of fear-mongering from the media.  There are concerns, but not the existential crisis that some want to make it seem like everything is going to come crashing down.
