It took about half an hour longer than 2018. Which is fine and I think they factored that in. Problem was the rest of the show was also half an hour long in it's own right. -
There was something like that at Paris 2024, wasn't there? With the surfers doing a sort of opening ceremony with them in Tahiti. Maybe Italy got its inspiration from there. -

Overall, I think the show was quite nice. Nothing really outstanding, besides Andrea Bocelli, but...nice. Just for the love of everything that is sports, let's never, ever do this "opening ceremony in multiple places" thing again, please. That absolutely didn't work, they were cutting away all the time so everyone got barely shown. Plus, you're taking us from inside the massive stadium with 80.000 people or so back and forth to 3 people walking in front of the local town hall of a small village with some locals attending while walking their dogs before going to sleep, so to say. Just don't do that again please.
