Quota places are allocated to the NPC(s).
An athlete may only obtain a maximum of one (1) qualification slot. Any slot obtained through the Paralympic Ranking List allocation method (including reallocation) must be filled by an athlete who is ranked in the top-20 of the respective sport class and weight category on the World Para Taekwondo Paralympic Ranking List at one point between 1 January 2024 and 1 May 2024.
An NPC may be allocated a maximum of five (5) male and five (5) female qualification slots for a maximum total of ten (10) slots as long as all of these slots are earned through the Paralympic Ranking List allocation method. An NPC can only earn one (1) slot per medal event.
An NPC can enter a maximum of one (1) eligible athlete per medal event.
The six (6) highest ranked K44 athletes in each weight category on the World Para Taekwondo Paralympic Ranking List of January 2024 each obtain one (1) qualification slot for their NPC, up to the maximum quota.
Any slots that cannot be allocated under this method shall be allocated via the Bipartite Commission Invitation method. |
