  7. The hell had frozen over ! Buffalo won after 18 consecutive losses last night against Philadelphia 6-1
  8. people still keep living in some old school misconception that european football is predictable and top teams will always beat the small underestimated underdogs. no, it is not, anyone can beat anyone in this continent nowadays UKR-KAZ 1-1 is also something else
  9. That is great. Good for you, here we will be one of the 3 EU members with the lowest amount of vaccinated people by June, because...EU decided to change the vaccine purchase policy and alongside of Bulgaria and Austria we will receive much less vaccines than it was expected from pfizer/moderna..(however Austria is working hard actually to persuade EU leaders to change this injustice and return to the original redistribution schema)... Actually it is a real lottery here to win "golden" ticket to be vaccinated...I was enough lucky to register my mom, but it took me like 2 weeks to succeed to receive a date for her. but at the same time we have plenty of sputnik doses which will remain forever stuck in a storage somewhere in the east of the country, because you know...ugh, boo this is from Russia, this is not good, you´ll become commie after injection or something so do not use it, Brussels will be angry
  10. btw do not knw how many of you guys watched the SVK-RUS highlights, but there one moment we can not stop to laugh about. The first goal. Header from Milan Škriniar after a corner, normal, you would say, but the thing is the 2 russian defencers, they were both indtead of defending our player who actually scored, defending each other during the moment Number 2 & 4 It is better to see on the Highlights
  11. yeah, excellent night shift of our masonry brigade that was not a bus parking tonight, this was a double-decker.
  12. and the gala happened today today, the president of the republic officially welcomed Petra and her whole team and thanked for the exemplary representation of the country. Magoni in a suit (first from left), it was also something. at the end the president invited Petra for a walk through the garden of the presidential palace
  13. After the 2 draws against and our defence is ready to repeat our famous sophisticated cementing mark tonight against Russia as well...
  14. Stan Bowman will be named GM. The Chicago Backhawks GM should be appointed Wednesday officially as the general manager of the US team according to TSN. one of his assistants should be Bill Guerin the Minnesota Wild GM.
  15. Not. These are two completely different sports under one federation. But it is not possible to qualify in one and start in the other. I would compare it to Rhythimc and Artisticss gymnastics, it is difficult to imagine an athlete specializing in parallel bars who would be able to compete as well with a ball or ribbon. even in canoe slalom itself, it is rare to see athletes compete in both men's disciplines. For women, on the other hand, it is still a common thing, to see girls doing both events, but only because the women's C1 category is still just a ridiculous competition, too weak and not develpoed yet. But as it develops, there will be fewer and fewer girls able to keep up in both disciplines. Yeah the YOG famous Obstacle Canoeing. It had nothing to do with slalom. it is a specially created and invented sport discipline on flat water with some easy gates, buoys and starting ramp. So it was neither about the speed and explosiveness of the canoe sprinters, nor about the strength, tactical thinking and stamina of the slalom specialists. Just a very poorly failed attempt to merge two different sports into one to catch the attention of young public, with sprinters having a greater advantage as it took place on flat water. Interestingly, slalom specialists were more successful, due to the fact that sprinters probably do not know how to turn boats and go through upstream gates, even on flat water.

  17. man, this would be still gold even in 2052 I guess
  18. Thats happened... HC Košice missed to qualify for the Play-Offs for the first time since 1980/81 Total disaster. embarassing humiliation. Catastrophe... worst ever result in history of Slovak independent extra liga. after losing 3-1 in the qualification round series to Nové Zámky (3-1 was also todays result of the 4th match), the club finished 9th and will not play in the Play-Offs. Last time this happened back in the Czechoslovak league 1980/81 total shame.
  19. I do not really follow politics. Apart our president there nobody worth of. but in short, since it was basically impossible to not hear about the current crisis. The PM bought the famous Sputnik vaccines and with his health minister both welcomed the plane at the airport in front of cameras etc.., the other coalition parties felt betrayed since they were always against, so they refused to continue in the coalition until the prime minister and health minister did not resign. the prime minister had to resign (apparentl did it today ?) so that the parties could eventually return to the coalition (?).
