Even the Islamic confederation in the country announced they will not organize the common fridays prays in Bratislava islamic centre (something like a action of the 6 muslims in the coutry)

Slovakia declared from tomorrow 06:00 AM the state of Emergency ! So far the official measures declared in the country during the previous days: 14 Days total ban of all sports (without exceptions), cultural and social events in the whole country (will be re-examined after the 14 days period and may be prolonged if necesarry) 14 Days complete ban of all religious events (Masses are banned, during funerals only the relatives are allowed, Weddings must be postponed, The restrictions not apply for Confessions) Ban of all flights to and from Italy. Every arriving person to Slovakia by plane must be tested at the airport. Random checks are also at the crossing borders with Austria, Hungary and Ukraine. All peoples arriving from and must be immediatelly quarantined for 14 days Every person proved of violation of the quarantine is punishable by a fine of 1600 euros Nations offices (like labor office, Tax office etc...) are closed for peoples until further notice. people have to get things done by post. Despite the crisis and very strict regulations in the country, a team of Slovak boxers flew to the London qualifying tournament with one big dream aka big goal aka big wish aka almost heavens miracle to interrupt the 24 years of droughts. Slovakia competed as independent country at the Olympics since Atlanta 1996 and it was also the only time we had boxers (2 males) at Olympics...will we be so lucky to finally qualify someone... ? Your two clubs DVTK and MAC Budapest have paid really BIG money thanks to your government help to play two seasons in our league, now the league is canceled 3 rounds before hte end of the regular season + both clubs were well in way to qualify for the play-offs, especially in Miskolc the matches used to be sold out quite regullarly...

The Slovak Ice Hockey Extraliga season 2019/20 has just been officially stopped and completely cancelled, we was 3 rounds before the end of the regular season and prior of one of the most followed sport event in the country the extraliga play-offs..now it´s all over... No champion will be crowned this year...more info to come Obciously I can understand ths decision, sad really sad but understandable, leaders of all clubs rejected the idea to finish the season without spectators, this has absolutely no sense in Slovakia. Maybe for freaking basketball or I don´t know handball which no one single dog in the country cares two shits about, would not be such problem but we are speaking here about the nations most popular sport... economically, it would also be extremely harmful, but especially as everyone during the negotiations commented, playing in Slovakia the play-offa for the title and winning the title and celebrating title without spectators is simply unthinkable. total nonsense, this sport here is played for peoples..It better then to cancel the whole season... well, it happened ..

The Ice Hokey EBEL league from today literally stopped and cancelled the season ! The multinational hockey EBEL league has taken a radical step. Due to the spreading coronavirus, the club representatives and the league leadership decided to end the season 2019/20. "10th March is a sad day for clubs, players, officials and especially for all EBEL hockey fans. We have been working intensively for months and everything has been going to the climax of the season, which is not to come. We are in an exceptional situation that affects many areas of our lives. Although this decision hurts, we consider it our duty to contribute to bringing everything back to normal as soon as possible. The leadership of the competition and the clubs decided to cancel the league. Continuing and playing matches in front of empty stands was out of the question, because our sport lives out of emotion and sensational atmosphere in the arenas, ”said the competition director Christian Feichtinger. There were already the playoffs playing in the league, they even managed to play the first three matches of the quarterfinals series ! Matej Tóth and Michal Morvay will (hopefully) compete in France the 22nd March at the 50km French National Championship in Giene. The organizers accepted their registrations.
