  1. Until the nightly round of robberies and domestic violence breaks out
  2. Yes, you are right about that. However, his defense of white nationalism and indifference to violence could be inspiring more shooters. He does say things all the time that extremists would be willing to carry out. The second is also true. I’d can buy a gun today, probably without an ID. It would take weeks to buy over the counter medicine (if you can afford it), alcohol (because I legally can’t until I’m 21), weed (same reason as above), but hey I can smoke (not that I would in a million years).
  3. This is the attitude that got us into this mess. Mass Shootings shouldn’t be old or new news because they shouldn’t take place in the first place. We don’t have to be a gun country. Australia was once a gun country, and they’ve had little problems since they’re successful gun control measures. Guns are made for killing, that was why they were invented. The only ever gun I’ll be ok with someone owning is a single shot rifle/shotgun or a air pistol/shotgun. It shouldn’t be political. It should be, oh shut we have a problem let’s fix it so our children stop dying.
  4. Well if I kicked my wall in frustration at Trump’s tweet and my toe breaks...
  5. Another day another shooting. Second night in a row where a peaceful community event erupted into violence. New York City on Saturday, and the world famous California Garlic Festival on Sunday. I haven’t seen the updated reports from New York, but think around 10 people were shot. Here, in my state, my heart breaks though. The Garlic Festival is a point of pride in the state and more specifically in California. It’s a peaceful event that’s awesome for the family. A gunman, domestic born terrorist, cut through the fence around the festival. He then stepped into the crowd and began to let lose with a automatic rifle of some kind. 15 people were shot and police were able to respond in one minute and shoot the gunmen dead. Three people have since passed. One of the three is a 6 year old, who was shot in the head. Of course, Trump has tweeted that some of our Black government officials hate police and white people, the morning after the shooting. It’s such bad timing, but understandable since he’s a insignificant on history little ignorant fucktard. So yes, let’s celebrate these mass shootings with repeated days of race bating. When will this nightmare end? How many more people need to be gunned down in the streets? How many more immigrants need to be put in cages? How more black people need to be shot by police? I’m so beyond upset. I’m beyond furious. I’m just tired. I wish so much that we could bring back that little boy. I wish so much people didn’t make that mistake in 2016. I wish people would open their fucking eyes and see what a shitshow the “American Dream” has become. People always talk about how great American culture is, let me tell what American culture is. American Cultrue: We celebrate immigrants (unless they’re black or brown), we condem violence (unless the instigator was white), we invade foreign lands and leave them worse, we love “honest” social media personalities (until they’re actual honest), we have the highest rate of gun violence in the world (and the largest gun lobby), we celebrate ghetto as cool (when in reality we’re all to scared to even venture into one), we celebrate beating Hitler (only to elect him), we celebrate women (until they speak up), etc. I’m Ahhhh! I just don’t understand. This is the ugly face of capitalism. There is no care about people under capitalism. No one actually really cares what happens anymore. Were destroying the planet and we’re ok with it. I need to stop but I have much more to say, but it doesn’t matter because my country wouldn’t care. Unless I make a cute gif to go along with it. Or take a duck face selfie with a shooting victim. #ThisIsAmerica
  6. The host broadcaster been having a few issues on their feeds the last few days. I just think these game are putting a big strain in Peru’s internet network, because after all, they still are a developing second world country.
  7. I’d try to get a ticket to the v. if I were you. On paper that should be the best game, but Malaysia could be good too.
  8. I was like 5 when I got lessons (our pool had a fence around it during my childhood, so there wasn’t a major drowning risk). Skating and Cycling can natural to me. I’ve never had a coach, but coaches have told I look damn skilled for an amateur. To bad I’m lazy now. I loved and lived running, but always had a deeper passion for the bike and skate, which is funny because out of like the 20 sports I’ve practiced, I’ve never done those competitively.
  9. Philippines and Thailand should have the best teams by far. If memory serves, both played pretty well at the Asian Winter Games.
  10. Well they made mega bucks on it here in the US. Disney only cares about money, and they made a lot, so they’ll be happy.
  11. Yeah Cycling is a death wish where I live. It’s shame because I’d (inline) skate and bike more if not.
  12. I rode a bike before I knew how to swim. I also knew how to ice skate before I could swim too. I was raised the Dutch way apparently. The funny thing is that the ice rink was 45 minutes away, but I had pool in my backyard (every house as one in my town)
  13. That’s what I’ve been saying. They are too real for their own good. It also makes the story seem more silly, as in not as profound. I do think the cast is better though.
  14. I’m sure that it would be fun. I’ve never been to one personally, but I know people love to go to them. I’d totally recommend short track if it’s on the program too.
  15. Based on what I’ve seen (as in sports I’ve attended) Weightlifting is a must do in person (though I had a seat right next to the head of the IWF at the 2017 World Championships, so I may be biased), Track Cycling is also a must see (it looks great on TV, but nothing compares to seeing it in person), the modern pentathlon is cool because you can see so much, but viewing experiences can be mixed, Athletics is meh (At sat right across from the pole vault at the US champs and that was an awesome experience), Equestrian was fun for someone who’d never had the chance to see it in person before, Fencing is really hard to watch in person, Rugby Sevens will always be entertaining (Even If Singapore dominates the tournament), Sailing is cool if you can get close (you could watch of a pier at the 2017 Special Olympic World Games the boats came right in front), I get the opinion Speaktakraw would be cool, Skateboarding would be fun, and I have absolutely zero clue about underwater hockey (but I would 100% have a ticket to it)
  16. @opruh will you attend the games? I’ve always enjoyed watching the SEA Games. Unfortunately, this year they fall during my first semester university finals. 52 sports! I’d love to watch, so hopefully I can work my magic and find some replays.
  17. Endgame was great, and I haven’t see the other two.
  18. I’d honestly love to see all three. I’ve found them all highly entertaining to watch. Ice Climbing is what I really want though. First off, it would be the only winter sport not to use skates or skis. It’s unique from ever other sports on the program (meaning we’re adding a 8th sport, and not just another discipline). Plus, there are actually a lot of competitive countries (including @OlympicIRL). The events are super fun to watch, much like sport climbing, as they are just the winter equivalent. An event in Denver last year had a crowd of 25,000 and the atmosphere was awesome. The event will already feature as a demo sport at the 2020 YOG (hopefully full inclusion in 2024), so at least it’s on the IOC’s radar. So to me, 2026 seems like the right time to add it. This year’s season will feature 5 World Cup Events, a European tour (4 events), an Asian Tour (3 events, one of which will be in @MHSN, and another in ), a Youth World Championship, YOG demonstration, and three continental championships.
  19. Beca was eliminated on the results I saw. Thanks for the explanation, not that I still understand it really.
  20. @hckosice Silver medal for in Weightlifting
