Hold on a minute, I have nothing against Trentino. It's purely against the bullshit of 'people, food, nature and culture coming together in a special way' that's like the main selling point of 90% of the world's tourism boards when they have 0 creativity to think about something original Although yes, I do prefer Süd-Tirol over Trentino (being able to understand a lot more people there helps)

Not every situation where way, way too many people die is a genocide though. I have no doubt for example a scary amount of native Americans were killed because that's what they were, but there's also huge numbers who died because of illnesses the Europeans brought and they had zero defense against. The atomic bombs on Japan for example were definitely not genocide, horrible as it was.
