  1. What I don't get about the Player is the lack of selecting which commentary one wants to hear. During the Olympics that was actually possible in some cases (I remember I specifically watched the German ice hockey team with German commentary there), but now it's not.
  2. Sentence isn't even finished but I can guess what's going to come up there
  3. That is pretty shitty. Come on, the nice thing about Eurosport Player is one can easily avoid all the boring football, don't put more football on there Although Eurosport here doesn't have any football anymore I believe, sadly the only interesting competitions they had (youth/U17/18/19/20 and so on World Cups) are also gone.
  4. €132,50 per year, holy crap I just renewed mine a few weeks ago for €39 for one year I believe, which is annoying because last week there was a Black Friday deal: €20 for one year. It works pretty well here, although the update they did this year is a bit annoying. For example they went from having two nice and small buttons for 30 seconds ahead and back to two big-ass buttons in the middle of the screen for 15 seconds ahead and back (meaning I'm doubleclicking all the time and can't do so anymore with my keyboard, so I have to keep my mouse plugged in my desktop instead of my laptop if I want to skip ahead while watching something). But apart from the annoying new things, it works fine
  5. Just make sure you stay warm, hope some other athlete wants to hang out for a while and make sure the sponsor stays visible
  6. USA will play with both an A and a B team or is Israel actually decent in lacrosse?
  7. Kilde's run was a tense one for Odermatt
  8. But Eurosport Player
  9. That appears to be a very strong run by Odermatt.
  10. Yeah, they're like the British of Eastern Europe
  11. And 12th today (two places ahead of what I assume to be his brother).
  12. Super-G on the beautiful Birds of Prey is starting
  13. Working on becoming an avid diabetic.

  16. Like there is a specific season to eat candy...
  17. Too bad the Eurosport Player only showed the session after that one (where an Indian in the team sprint had a rather explosive tyre, btw).
  18. First ever win for the Dutch women against Norway, finally
  19. Well, if people do it 'because that's how it's supposed to be' I personally find it a lot easier to understand than if people do it because they genuinely believe someone will die if someone gets up to early "So I can't go to the bathroom?" "No way man!" "Ok then...you might want to keep your nose closed starting in half a minute or so "
  20. Can we just skip Nur-Sultan for the rest of, I don't know, the lifetime of the universe? Jesus what a boring, dead venue, this is just pathetic.
  21. All these things about 'traditional superstitions' one reads from different countries always makes me wonder how many people actually believe it (or just do those things because that's what they're used to, but don't actually believe someone will die if action X isn't performed), and also it makes me wonder: are we, as Dutch, really so level-headed that we have - as far as I know - literally zero of these superstitions that more than a handful of people actually believe in?
  22. I wonder how many people actually believe this
  23. St Nicholas Day (or 'Sinterklaas' as it's called here) is mostly celebrated here on the evening on the 5th of December, when 'St Nicholas' and his team spread around presents and candies and more presents to the children. Of course it's actually the parents and family and so on who buys it and the question is when to tell your children that, but fine We don't have little children in our family, so we didn't really celebrate anything apart from buying some of the tasty stuff associated with this day (chocolate letters and so on)
  24. Yes, thank you India.
  25. Pretty much impossible to find any more info, but apparently the Japanese and American women's team pursuit teams crashed together during today's first round in Cambridge
