  1. The Halo looks bad, the Aeroscreen isn't much better - if not worse. Too bad, open-wheel racing is not exactly going forwards anymore in terms of esthetics.
  2. Here we go again. Chokri Elmehdi of Morocco had signed a contract with Israel Cycling Academy after rumours had been going on for a while. First Arab Muslim rider for the team, awesome! Few days later aaaaaand to the surprise of absolutely nobody, he has left the team due to 'personal reasons'. Most likely the Moroccan Cycling Federation, which had pretty much never supported him in any way, suddenly was 'a little interested', asked some questions and got rather angry, more or less forcing him to sign for some lower level French team. Ahmet Örken all over again
  3. Hammerschmidt is so far from where she once was (so is Schempp of course). In Martell last week she was basically destroyed by Ida Lien in the final part of the race..
  4. The C-word is banned, it's only postponed
  5. Mercedes looks just as boring as it did in my opinion, so not much changes there
  6. Thanks to Rieke de Maeyer having some good results and, mostly that, Lotte Lie making the move from Norway to Belgium, tomorrow Belgium will make their mixed relay debut at the highest level Together with in-form Thierry Langer and Tom Lahaye-Goffart, they might have a decent chance to not be lapped first
  7. They also pulled out of Bahrain (and cancelled that outright) when unrest was brewing there. This was just a matter of time really
  8. I thought you just meant a rather naive TV commentator said that at the time, but alright. Much like the naive TV commentators here were positively (no pun intended) amazed by the Gewiss-Ballan show in 1994.
  9. Paula Radcliffe's totally not suspicous marathon world rec.....oh wait, new Nike shoes. Never mind.
  10. Obviously. The wonderful 90's, when absolutely nobody doped
  11. How did you not? Among F1 fans this has been received with just as much surprise as Red Bull's new livery being basically exactly the same as forever
  12. Top-5 low key for USA in a biathlon relay at the moment. Jeez, why not ask for 'I would be able to accept a silver medal'?
  13. Nothing special, I assume. Most likely they and everyone around will act as if nothing is going on
  14. Yeah, and Martell is having mightily strong winds this week. Apparently today it's not that bad anymore, hopefully it stays like that (although yesterday, in strong winds, a certain Brazilian shot more 0's than any other athlete, even from the top nations ).
  15. In my debut half marathon last year my legs basically died after 18-19km or so and the rest was just a pathetic attempt at finishing (which I did in a little under 2:05), so 1:50 is a lot better than 'not impressive' in my book
  16. "Results are not impressive" Posts a half marathon in 1:50
  17. Just did 17km in a little under 1:41. That's my longest distance since my semi-succeeded half marathon debut in June (the longest distance since then was 15.4km in September) and it's well on pace for my plan for the 4 April half marathon (2:06, meaning 10 km/h or 6:00 min/km) @Agger Still no bottle or anything and not even a gel or something When I came home I only drank something an hour later, at lunch. For whatever reason, drinking water right after a run like this doesn't always agree with me
  18. Very true. This forum is generally very much left-leaning, with a few exceptions
  19. Well an ideal world would be one where these kind of machines aren't necessary to begin with. Sadly an ideal world won't ever happen, at least until humans have gone extinct.
  20. A bit? From a neutral perspective, one would not know whether it's the USA or North Korea when watching children drum up the words day after day after day.
  21. Yeah the F35 looks rather boring. The F-22 Raptor though, oh my what a thing of beauty Too bad the only time so far I had a chance to see one, the airshow got cancelled due to rain
  22. And then in your user icon there's a guy who almost literally wipes his ass with exactly that sentence after his morning dump
  23. Not entirely. It has been named 2019-nCoV since late December/early January (although media keeps calling it 'the coronavirus', but there's tons of coronavirusses, SARS is one as well). The virus is still named 2019-nCoV, what's new is that the WHO has given a name to the disease now and that is Covid-19. Covid --> Coronavirus disease Still a rather mediocre name.
  24. Probably Comoros is already part of the new Chinese colonial empire
