    After a group stage that just got worse and worse in terms of play, finally it was better today, with a lot more action being created and a very well deserved win Of course now it remains to be seen what this will mean. Should quite easily have been 6-0 with some of those massive chances, one can assume the strong teams will punish these misses a lot harder...

    No, he based his case on his own results. I believe the others, unfortunately for them, can't really present similar results and so probably didn't believe a case would have any chance. Edit: now hearing mixed things about the other two, I'll take a look around.

    I thought there was a rule about it being a fluent movement. Wish they'd bring that back/in, so penalties have to actually be done in a fluent forward movement.

    Why was Cristiano Ronaldo's penalty allowed despite him coming to a full stop in the run-up? That is such an annoying trend in football, and such a shame it was rewarded.
