Hard to really compare with other Olympics, because I never remember exactly how I felt 5 years ago, but I do know I am definitely enjoying the Olympics so far (like any Olympics, really) Building up quite a decent lack of sleep already, compared to my usual hours I think I've already missed out on a total of nearly 10 hours so far, but that doesn't take away the fun (yet) -

Oh, they're also banned from the warmup areas and such. So basically they're completely screwed over (this also goes for athletes who never tested positive at all), any medal would be a miracle from now on. That sucks, the team was looking stronger than it has done in a very, very, very long time..

For those of you watching on Eurosport Player: have you counted the amount of times the commentator (the one with the 'Scottish' accent, I think) has said "Open stance, but no open scoring" in matches where there isn't a very high score early on?

The Dutch team has been banned from using the facilities at the rowing venue (bathrooms, restaurants and so on). They're also not allowed to use the Olympic transport anymore, so they'll have to find their own cars to rent and such to get to the venue. Bizarre situation.
