  1. As I think was expected after today...if she wants any chance in the 30k, she should probably get as much rest as possible.
  2. Victor Santos didn't exactly have the competition he expected in the 15k freestyle....several minutes behind people he should at least stay close to. Isabel Clark Ribeiro , as said before, didn't start in the snowboard cross due to an injury in training, and she has now officially announced her retirement. That was to be expected, considering she's 41 years old, but it's official now. Thanks for a nice career Isabel, bringing a 9th place in the Winter Olympics to Brazil (in 2006) is beautiful! Plus, she's a highly valued 'president' of the athlete's representatives of the Brazilian snow sports federation
  3. The image immediately after the finish, when everything else orange was celebrating and she was sitting there crying, was like a knife through the heart
  4. Hopefully at least Visser will remain beatable (or win with small margins)
  5. It's not really news, but it's not social media neither, so I guess it's a bit general Pyeongchang 2018 stuff Just got word from inside the Olympic Village, with an interesting bit of information: Ecuador shares a building with Norway, Mexico, Macedonia, Pakistan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, India and Spain More building-sharing info should come tomorrow Croatia and Germany share a building too, but tomorrow we'll know with which other nations
  6. On the other hand, with option 1 everything is going backwards
  7. Random question, what would be scarier? 1. Sliding luge in skeleton position (laying on your back, but with your head first) 2. Sliding skeleton in luge position (laying on your belly, but with your feet first)
  8. Sorry, posting on a Dutch forum and Totallympics at the same time is a bit confusing sometimes. 'Person X of all places' is a bit of a running gag there since a famous and annoying TV personality (from a football talk show) made that mistake, instead of 'of all people', resulting in people now saying 'of all places' after a random name as winner. Like Anice Das of all places winning the 500m My bad for mixing things up between there and Totallympics, blame the Pyeongchang time schedule/difference
  9. You'll see, Anice Das of all places is going to take that 500m gold. Just because.
  10. Annouk missed it by 0,19
  11. 12th fastest time in history
  12. Unlike Parsons, Deas couldn't afford major mistakes..
  13. I find it interesting that someone from Montenegro would choose women's 5k speed skating (which even most Dutch people don't find that interesting) over freestyle skiing
  14. Nobody gives a hoot about aerials or what?
  15. Nah....Visser, Sablikova and Queen Voldemort* will go faster *just kidding, no need for anyone to get in a spasm
  16. What a time for Van der Weijden to kick things off
  17. "Esmee Visser is kind of a bitcoin." Alright, thank you, Visser's coach. So she's either going for a world record or last place.
  18. 'Anema-Gate' (Bergsma's coach, the 'matchfixing scandal that broke yesterday') has now already lead to parliamentary questions. I kid you not.
  19. Slovenia is getting buried
  20. Didn't see Krüger (probably just missed him), but very nice to see Cologna and Spitsov were at the ready to welcome Project Bogota's fighters at the finish
  21. Project Bogota was standing by to welcome him
