  1. If there is one European Union NOC at summer olympics... it wouldn't represent me and I wouldn't support it! never! EU must be dismantled!
  2. disaster! disgrace! shame! I have no other words to describe Today's results of the team

  4. game #34, beat by 7 wickets, keeping their dream alive scored 179/all out in 46.3 overs, then smashed that scoring 181/3 in just 31.3 overs game details https://www.cricketworldcup.com/match/102774 Tomorrow, it's time for the 2nd last doubleheader of the tournament: first, vs at 6 a.m. CET in Bengaluru, then a big classic, vs at 9.30 a.m. CET in Ahmedabad
  5. just another day at the office for Jeffrey Hoogland yesterday he improved the 500m world record with a flashy 24.564 seconds (record previously held by Sir Chris Hoy with 24.758 since 2007 in La Paz) then he missed out his 3 attempts to smash the flying 200m record (held by Nicholas Paul with 9.100 secs since 2019, also made in La Paz) 9.130, 9.201, 9.103 the 3 times clocked by the Dutch sprinter
  6. the Rangers have been better under any point of view...pitching, batting, even defense (not exactly the jewel of the Crown in Arlington) Seager named MVP of the WS (but only because of Adolis Garcia's injury, 'cause he's been the man of the entire playoffs run for the team from Texas) after the amazing LCS, however, the WS haven't been so exciting
  7. really destroyed they scored a lot of runs, but, aboive all, their bowlers really humiliated batsmen game details https://www.cricketworldcup.com/match/102773 Tomorrow, game #34 features and at 9.30 a.m. CET in Lucknow this is a very, very important match for that desperatly need a win to stay in contention for an improbable but not yet completely out of reach 4th place
  8. 2023 Japan Series after the first 2 games were one-sided and very disappointing in terms of "atmosphere" on the pitch, game #3 and #4 were very close and both had a very emotional ending (game #4 finished with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 9th inning) Game #3, Orix Buffaloes b. Hanshin Tigers 5-4 in Nishinomiya game details https://npb.jp/bis/eng/2023/games/s2023103101858.html Game #4, Hanshin Tigers b. Orix Buffaloes 4-3 in Nishinomiya game details https://npb.jp/bis/eng/2023/games/s2023110101859.html Series tied 2-2, game #5 is well underway right now in Nishinomiya, meanwhile game #6 is scheduled for next Saturday at 6.30 p.m. local time (10.30 CET) in Osaka (and if needed, also game #7 will be in Osaka at the same time on Sunday)
  9. will it be year? they already grabbed the Rugby WC and Today they did show that they're for real also in the CWC meanwhile look to be struggling a lot right now...and Henry's injury doesn't look good at all for them game #32, destroyed by 190 runs the red hot bats set a very high target of 357/4 in 50 overs in the 1st inning, score that couldn't even think to match and in fact, they only managed to get 167 runs / all out in just 35.3 overs to lose big time this key match now they have to be very careful of a possible (but unlikely, tbh) comeback by the surprising team from to save their place among the Top 4 game details https://www.cricketworldcup.com/match/102772 Tomorrow, game #33 sees facing at 9.30 a.m. CET in Mumbai on paper, there's no match, but it's always a derby and I'm sure would try everything they can to steal a prestigious result (even if it doesn't mean anything to their ranking)
  10. game #31, b. by 7 wickets just scored 204/all out in 45.1 overs, so it was a really easy task for to complete the chase with 205/3 in only 32.3 overs game details https://www.cricketworldcup.com/match/102771 Tomorrow, game #32 features vs at 9.30 a.m. CET in Pune and it's likely to be a great clash and a decisive matchup for the top 4 final lineup
  11. the dream is still alive! game #30, beat by 7 wickets set a target of 241/all out in 49.3 overs, which is not particularly impressive and in fact, could easily complete the chase with a score of 242/3 in just 45.2 overs game details https://www.cricketworldcup.com/match/102770 gameday #6 is now complete, this is the standing https://www.cricketworldcup.com/standings Tomorrow, gameday #7 begins with game #31, when faces at 9.30 a.m. CET in Kolkata
  12. have quite a good number of medal chances, even for gold - Rowing (M2-, LM2X and maybe more) - Shooting (men's AP Jason Solari, women's Rifle events Nina Christen, Audrey Gogniat, men's 3-position Rifle Christoph Duerr...just to name those already qualified, but they will add more for sure) - Beach Volley (women) - Sailing (women's ILCA 6 Maud Jayet, men's 49er Schneiter/Planta) - Swimming (men's 200m back Roman Mityukov, men's 100m fly Noè Ponti, men's 200m IM Jeremy Desplanches) - Road Cycling (both ITT, Marlene Reusser and Stefan Kung, maybe even the women's Road Race) - MTB (both races, basically any rider they choose) - Freestyle BMX (women, Nikita Ducarroz) - BMX racing (women, Zoè Classens...and maybe more; men, the full team) - Judo (men's -73kg, Nils Stump...and maybe more) - Slalom Canoeing (Martin Dougoud has some chances also in the M K1) - Athletics (men's LJ, Simon Ehammer) - Fencing (men and women's Epee) - Equestrian Sports (Show Jumping, team and individual competitions) and I'm sure I forgot something
  13. bare minimum target: 41 medals realistic target: 40-45 medals best case scenario: no idea, but well in excess of 50 medals (I think we're way beyond the 100 theoretical chances, some of them really remote and unlikey to happen, of course) personal thought: nothing of what written above will happen, like every other aspect in this Country, also our sport is going to die and therefore we're gonna have the worst Games ever
  14. I think have a lot more chances than that...Sailing (2, maybe even 3 good chances), Swimming (Sjostrom mainly), Shooting (men's AR and Skeet), Judo (Marcus Nyman), the men's Handball team and maybe more
  15. probably they have to cope with the fact that we have the World Champs in February and then their Summer season is over (and it will be time to focus on the Olympics rather having trials too close to the big event) or maybe it's just like here in Italy, as we're having the first official "trials" (which are not true trials, as usual, but events where to achieve the OQT) at the end of November and then a second "trials week" in April they might have a second wave of trials, too (later in 2024)
  16. this week for me it's mainly about the grand finale of the MLB World Series and NPB Japan Series (Baseball) then, the Cricket World Cup continues and in the weekend the Judo European Champs are on stage I don't know if I have time for anything else
  17. team quite disappointing this weekend...they were better 7 days ago
  18. 2023 Japan Series Game #1, Hanshin Tigers b. Orix Buffaloes 8-0 in Osaka game details https://npb.jp/bis/eng/2023/games/s2023102801856.html Game #2, Orix Buffaloes b. Hanshin Tigers 8-0 in Osaka game details https://npb.jp/bis/eng/2023/games/s2023102901857.html Series tied 1-1, now the teams switch to Nishinomiya for games 3, 4 and 5 starting next Tuesday, October 31st (first pitch @ 6 p.m. local time, 10 a.m. CET)
  19. game #29, thrashed by 100 runs had a poor offensive inning (for their standard), scoring only 229/9 in 50 overs therefore it looked that could have a chance to upset the Host Nation, but their batsmen proved completely spent and the Indian bowlers instead were on fire (especially Shami and Bumrah) so, only scored 129/all out in just 34.5 overs in the 2nd inning and the match was quickly done and dusted for this is the 5th loss in 6 matches, which puts them in the last place of the standings...really humiliating situation for the reigning champions game details https://www.cricketworldcup.com/match/102769 Tomorrow, game #30 is a clash between and at 9.30 a.m. CET in Pune
  20. so, out of 16 events, we have 26 Nations from 4 Continents (5, if we split North and South America) winning at least 1 medal and 10 of them winning at least 1 Gold medal only Continent out of the medal table is Oceania just for fun: men's Team Kumite had 46 entries, women's Team Kumite had 55...55!!! not even the 4*100m Relays at the Athletics World Champs had so many (in the years when there was a basically free entry, of course) the women's Individual events had a minimum of 54 up to 61 entries, the men's range went from 61 (only the +84kg) to 74 (4 out of 6 events went over 70) but Karate doesn't deserve the Olympic status, meanwhile Lacrosse and Flag Football and Breakdance do...sure!
  21. Final Medal Table 4 / 1 / 1 2 / 2 / 4 2 / 2 / 1 2 / 0 / 3 1 / 2 / 3 1 / 1 / 1 1 / 0 / 0 1 / 0 / 0 1 / 0 / 0 1 / 0 / 0 0 / 2 / 5 0 / 1 / 1 0 / 1 / 0 0 / 1 / 0 0 / 1 / 0 0 / 1 / 0 0 / 0 / 2 0 / 0 / 2 0 / 0 / 1 0 / 0 / 1 0 / 0 / 1 0 / 0 / 1 0 / 0 / 1 0 / 0 / 1 0 / 0 / 1 0 / 0 / 1
  22. Team Events' Medallists Women's Team Kata Gold: Japan Silver: Italy Bronze #1: Spain Bronze #2: Egypt Men's Team Kata Gold: Japan Silver: Turkiye Bronze #1: Spain Bronze #2: Italy Women's Team Kumite Gold: Spain Silver: Japan Bronze #1: Kosovo Bronze #2: Croatia Men's Team Kumite Gold: Jordan Silver: Egypt Bronze #1: France Bronze #2: Italy
  23. my prediction...the Games will be cancelled because we have only a bunch of idiots leading our government and our institutions...and because the IOC is led by the idiot most idiot of them all
  24. Laura... unfortunately, she wasted her best boulder in the qualification round...if only she could repeat that kind of performance today, she would have got the OQP
