  15. Yes, she is... unfortunately for her, last year's results let her down in terms of seeding, so she has to go through the world open qualifier and the quarterfinals every time (which could affect her physical and mental condition when it comes down to the final rounds of the competition)...but right now she definitely is among the top Street Skateboarding specialists in the World... later tonight we'll see if she can make back-to-back finals after the London Open, which would be amazing for her and it would also give her a very, very good position in the OQR... meanwhile, looking at the general results, the women's Park is quite scary...it's only USA and Japan (Armanto now represents Finland, but she's a true American)...even Brazil is not there among the finalists of this event... definitely not a good "presentation", only 13 months or so before the Olympic debut of this discipline...
  16. born? frankly, I don't know...but "raised"? that's not possible for sure...
  17. Dew Tour 2019: Street Quarterfinals and Women's Park Semifinals Skateboarding & Olympics was the pairing of the day here at Dew Tour in Long Beach, starting early in the morning with the Qualifier Crash Course and following during the day with the astonishing skaters and their tricks in the Street Quarter Finals - Women and Men - and in the Park Women Semi Final. The in-depth panel session was an amazing opportunity for the press to meet skaters, sport organizations and industry leaders and to have a chat about the upcoming future of the skateboarding in the Olympics throughout such an engaging path towards Tokyo and beyond. The first competition of the day was on the street course for the Women Quarter Final: 5 of the 12 skaters from the Open Qualifier made the cut to the Semi Final and 4 continents will be represented in the next phase of the contest. Nothing to do for the youngest promising skater on the scene, Sky Brown, who did not make the cut as ranking only 12. 21. Long Beach Dew Tour 2019 Olympic qualifier event for both Street and Park Skateboarding Long Beach is welcoming more than 300 of the world’s best male and female skateboarders who will compete in the Park and Street events for a chance to win the Dew Tour title, while earning valuable points toward their country’s Olympic skateboarding team. The Olympic qualification system will be based on World Skateboarding Rankings maintained by World Skate: Skateboarders are now earning points by competing in World Skate sanctioned events during the Olympic qualifying period which started January 1 of this year and will end May 31, 2020. Dew Tour, part of the World Skate sanctioned Five-Star Street and Park skateboarding will also serve as the last global qualifying event in the U.S. in 2020. This year’s Dew Tour will host open qualifiers, quarter final, semi final and final rounds of competition, offering fans the chance to see both favorite and new skaters from across the globe. Competitions will start on Thursday, June 13 and will conclude on Sunday, June 16. The Park competition course is comprised of a concrete “pool” with a combination of ramps and course bends. For the Street competition, a street-like course will be designed featuring stairs, curbs, slopes and rails. Dew Tour is free and open to the public. The weekend event also includes the Dew Tour Experience, a vibrant interactive sponsor village and Dew Tour on the Green, a festival of outdoor music, local food and drink vendors and lifestyle activations, including a public skatepark and a learn to skate area. Various events incorporating the Long Beach community will also be featured throughout the weekend through local nonprofit partners. On June 13, at 10 a.m. (local time) the Dew Tour Qualifier Crash Course will take place in the media area: an expert panel session and press brunch featuring pro skateboarders and industry leaders to discuss the Olympic qualification process leading into Tokyo. The event will be live streamed on DewTour.com. A total of six hours of Dew Tour coverage will air on NBC and NBCSN. The event will also be livestreamed in its entirety on Worldskate.tv and DewTour.com for a total of 31 hours LIVE. 25. wow! what an amazing surprise! I didn't really expect the Blues to win game #7 on the ice of Boston, but they did it in style, with an amazing bounce back performance from their rookie goalie Jordan Binnington, who kept them into the game in the early minutes, when Boston put quite some pressure on the Blues defence... and what about the unbelievable run by Ryan O'Reilly, who also won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Playoffs MVP... it's not been the best Stanley Cup series of the last few years (understatement, if there's one), but at least it has given us quite a few unexpected turnarounds and ended like all the championships should do: going the full distance... p.s. Boston might well be the winningest city in the US sports in the last few years, but their fans are definitely among the worst in the Country... yes, they could win (quite often and in many sports, unfortunately)...but definitely they can't lose... most of them left well before the end of the match and those who were still in the arena at the time of the Cup raising were booing...not the behaviour people would expect from one of the cradles of US sport...
