  3. 2010 World Cup vs in the afternoon and vs at night (even if it was the last day of the group stage, therefore there were 2 other matches at the same time both in the afternoon and at night, but still it's double 0-0 in 2 consecutive time slots of the same day).
  4. lucky people! for sure it would be better than actually watching this afternoon's matches of the WC...
  5. Karate senior season came to an end with last Serie A tournament in Jakarta (unless we consider January's Athens tournament still part of the 2022 season, which looks like WKF does). Participation was, as expected, very poor, to say the least. However, this is how it went: Karate 1 Serie A Stage #4 ( Jakarta) Medallists Recap Women's Individual Kata Gold: Saeko Azuma Silver: Emiri Iwamoto Bronze #1: Sekar Damayanti Bronze #2: Mirisa Ohuchi Women's Team Kata Gold: Indonesia "A" Silver: Indonesia "B" Bronze #1: Cambodia Bronze #2: Malaysia Men's Individual Kata Gold: Aoi Funada Silver: Mohammad Hussain Bronze #1: Eiji Otsuki Bronze #2: Hazel Ramadhan Men's Team Kata Gold: Indonesia "A" Silver: Indonesia "B" Bronze #1: Peru Bronze #2: Kuwait Women's Individual Kumite, -50kg Gold: Shahmalarani Chandran Silver: Annisa Nur Anggraini Bronze #1: Seri Devi Bronze #2: Solomiya Kmit Women's Individual Kumite, -55kg Gold: Assemgul Yerdaulet Silver: Gulmira Ussenova Bronze #1: Madina sadigova Bronze #2: Gulsen Demirturk Women's Individual Kumite, -61kg Gold: Reem Khamis Silver: Nina Radjenovic Bronze #1: Mihaela Malauta Miruna Bronze #2: Ku Tsui-Ping Women's Individual Kumite, -68kg Gold: Laura Alikul Silver: Sara Deuble Bronze #1: Georgia Zefanya Ceyco Bronze #2: Mandy Yap Women's Individual Kumite, +68kg Gold: Dessynta Rakawuni Silver: Hannah Sullivan Bronze #1: Selina Stamer Bronze #2: Nikola Bartha Men's Individual Kumite, -60kg Gold: Aymane Takzima Silver: Daulet Shymyrbekov Bronze #1: Nizamiddin Khalmatov Bronze #2: Sena Kondo Men's Individual Kumite, -67kg Gold: Pranay Sharma Silver: Davyd Yanovskyi Bronze #1: Hiroki Nakano Bronze #2: Shih Cheng-Chung Men's Individual Kumite, -75kg Gold: Hamza Turulja Silver: Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Aboudabous Bronze #1: Oleksandr Cheniaiev Bronze #2: Enes Bulut Men's Individual Kumite, -84kg Gold: Rikito Shimada Silver: Yuta Mori Bronze #1: Andrii Toroshanko Bronze #2: Aykhan Mamayev Men's Individual Kumite, +84kg Gold: Rijad Dzuho Silver: Fumiya Yoshimura Bronze #1: Sandi Firmansyah Bronze #2: Nurniyaz Yeldashov
  6. yeah, but that's about the numbers...the German win itself was not out of order. we're talking of teams winning matches that nobody would expect to happen. no doubt that it was really painful (and somehow "unforgettable"), though.
  7. I agree on the top 2, but today's score is nothing compared to 1950 decisive match 1:2 and also a few more upsets in the history of the WC are comparable to this one...
  8. well, I can understand your feeling...especially after twice in a row not even qualifying to the party...
  9. I fear that there will be enough for all the people in the stands, with all players, coaches and officials grilled at the same time... p.s. more seriously, I hope nothing stupid happens in the Country after such a disappointing start of the day...
  10. if I think that a team like Wales (not wanna mention the non-European teams, as they rightly have their reserved spots) is playing the world Cup and Italy are playing the clown role in some meaningless "friendlies", I just have the unstoppable temptation to throw something big and heavy out of my window...

  14. in Italy Eurosport/Discovery+ has the full coverage of Wintersports (except for tobogganing events), as usual. Biathlon is exclusively on their media, meanwhile the disciplines managed by FIS are shared with our public TV, RAI.
  15. why? aren't they at that level so far?

  20. well, he was 17 at that time, which for an Italian is really a super-young age. I doubt he had barely worked on any tactic in his life at that time. It was just his instinct and nothing else. now it's a whole different beast. yesterday he was basically out in the quarterfinals against , but he managed to earn a Gam-Jeom and a head kick with less than a second on the clock. Since that moment he's been just another man, almost untouchable...even the first round against the Korean, who was very lucky to find that last second head shot and come out on top of that last furious exchange. fun fact, the championship opened with the bitter upset of Simone Alessio losing the first fight against an unknown Mongolian and closed down with another Italian on the mat, this time celebrating a huge win for our Taekwondo, that until yesterday was just a joke in this tournament. this morning has been the best wake up in a very long time for me...
