  3. and back to a single mat coverage on discovery+ it looks like they do it on purpose to get me angrier and angrier...
  4. something like that happened also at the Italian U-23 Fencing Champs in the women's Epee. an athlete was leading the final by a good margin with a few secs to go, but severely sprained her ankle. after all the medical checks, she was clearly not in condition to continue, and her opponent could have easily turned the score around in the remaining time. but she decided to kill the clock and leave her rival win a deserved title. that sportsmanship act got a lot of attention in our media, more than our top guys winning medals all around the world.
  5. Day #4 women's -63kg Gold: Clarisse Agbegnenou Silver: Andreja Leski Bronze: Szofi Ozbas & Joanne Van Lieshout men's -81kg Gold: Tato Grigalashvili Silver: Matthias Casse Bronze: Takanori Nagase & Lee Jun Hwan
  6. more highlights... Christmas Day: NY Giants @ Philadelphia (4.30 p.m. ET on FOX) Sunday, Dec. 31st, among others: Cincinnati @ Kansas City (4.25 p.m. ET on CBS) the first ever Black Friday game (November 24th): Miami Dolphins @ NY Jets (3 p.m. on Prime Video)
  7. and she won the bronze medal! I think also Toth has a good chance tomorrow...his draw isn't that complicated until the quarterfinals (where he's supposed to face Bekauri). meanwhile continue their great tradition in the W -63kg...after Zolnir, Trstenjak now they won a great Silver medal thanks to Leski. however, Agbegnenou is really on another level, a class of her own
  8. my fault...I took the name from our sport website and in the article they wrote they only used the Lafmejani part of his name... I should have looked at the ISSF result list to take the correct name
  9. Key point, from this world cup stage, the competiton format is coming back to the same as it was until Tokyo 2020, with the 8 finalists shooting 2 series of 5 shots each and then progressive eliminations every 2 shots.
  10. Women's Individual 10m Air Pistol Gold: Anna Korakaki Silver: Olena Kostevych Bronze: Rhythm Sangwan Final Ranking and Results https://www.issf-sports.org/competitions/venue/cs
  11. the shooters never stop! here we go with another World Cup stage, this time with Rifle and Pistol specialists in Baku. Men's Individual 10m Air Pistol Gold: Sajad Poorhosseini Silver: Oleh Omelchuk Bronze: Robin Walter Final Ranking and Results https://www.issf-sports.org/competitions/venue/csevent.ashx?cseventid=17951
  12. also Today, a lot of surprising results among the girls (except for the great Clarisse, of course). more predictable (even if not at 100%) the men's scores.
  13. Day #4, Medal Matches women's -63kg Gold Medal match: Clarisse Agbegnenou vs Andreja Leski Bronze Medal match #1: Szofi Ozbas vs Lubjana Piovesana Bronze Medal match #2: Prisca Awiti Alcaraz vs Joanne Van Lieshout men's -81kg Gold Medal match: Tato Grigalashvili vs Matthias Casse Bronze Medal match #1: Takanori Nagase vs Sagi Muki Bronze Medal match #2: Francois Gauthier Drapeau vs Lee Jun Hwan
  14. to me, the technical gap between the 2 is massive (as it can be, we're still talking of 2 outstanding players). the problem for Deguchi is all about her mental strenght, which is highly questionable.
  15. yeah, but I think that both Pizzolato and Nasar can go over 400 sooner or later, meanwhile I doubt Li has margin, especially in the C&J phase. however, 400kg were good for the medals in the 1988 and 1992 Olympics at 90kg... now we are back to those numbers with more than one lifter. and someone thought that the end of the Ajan's era could bring weightlifting out of the tunnel...
  16. and after 3 days, the IJF decided to allow Discovery+ to show both mats in the prelims. thank you for the first 3 days at half service, however!
  17. Kun Khmer live! just got the Gold Medal in the women's -48kg
  18. imho, there's no problem at all...Deguchi is by far a better Judo player than Klimkait. if I were the Canadian coach, I wouldn't have any doubt and choose Deguchi all the time. on the other side, the Italian curse continues...it's unbelievable, but we've never had a male world champion in Judo and if we haven't got gold Today, we'll never win one. never. gotta be said, Today Lombardo was really, really unlucky, as on his winning throw, he went down on his head just a few hundreds of a second earlier than Stump's shoulder touched the ground and therefore he was (correctly, nothing to say about it...the rule is clear) disqualified for diving instead of being named the new world champion
  19. Day #3 women's -57kg Gold: Christa Deguchi Silver: Haruka Funakubo Bronze: Jessica Klimkait & Enkh Lkhagvatogoo men's -73kg Gold: Nils Stump Silver: Manuel Lombardo Bronze: Soichi Hashimoto & Murodjon Yeldoshev
  20. still, I haven't heard yet of all the people involved in the NOP being sentenced to jail (I mean, from Salazar to the Nike's CEO to all the athletes that trained in Eugene and surroundings)...
  21. let's start the day with some good news... both 2022 World Champions in today's weight classes (women's -57kg: Rafaela Silva; men's -73kg: Tsogbaatar Tsend-Ochir) are already out of the tournament sure that it won't hit anybody's prediction contest...
  22. Day #2 women's -52kg Gold: Uta Abe Silver: Diyora Keldiyorova Bronze: Amandine Buchard & Odette Giuffrida men's -66kg Gold: Hifumi Abe Silver: Joshiro Maruyama Bronze: Walide Khyar & Baskhuu Yondonperenlei
