    Meanwhile in Cortina there is sunshine and no snowfall. Maybe, just maybe they could have had the men's slalom there. It wasn't necessary to have all men's races in Bormio. The weather forecast i known a week in advance at least.

    I've seen slaloms in worse conditions, so it's not something unheard of. It's an outdoor sport after all, you can't always have perfect conditions. You will have to adapt, it is part of the sport.

    Not surprised one bit by Popov also not finishing. He has been doing it regularly and with these conditions and course it was expected.

    Can someone explain to me why they decided to get rid of alpine skiing so early at these Games? I mean, with 6 days before the OG end we will have only 1 alpine race remaining. Weird scheduling, that i just noticed, because the final week was usually reserved for the 4 technical starts in many previous Olympics.

    Stroem with the double Who would have thought that Nika won't win either of the competitions. But she is only 20, so there are other Olympics in front of her.

    Ha, don't know if i've ever seen a DNS on a second jump, without there being a crash on the first.

    Wind has always been part of ski-jumping, nothing new here. The weird part is how Norway managed to get good jumps from all 4 of their athletes. I wouldn't say they've secured the gold after yesterdays turnaround, but Prevc will have to make a massive jump like her brother to stand a chance.
