In table tennis are there any chance of our players to qualify for world grand tour finals in Dec? There are 4 mixed doubles quota from that event, not realistic for us to get though but where at we in terms of partipation?

Yes, it gives us an opportunity before the Asian games, we can try our 2nd level athletes in some sports like badminton to avoid fatigue in these years. But I agree our current standard is compatible to CWG games only, don't see any reason to not participate, maybe countries like China(though not a CW country) can be selective, not us.

Yeah, the performance in the Asian championship this year was below par too, injuries have not helped neeraj, Hima, Dharun and you don't come back from injury and start at your best again specially in athletics, Anas took sometime post injury to do well, again Rajiv got injured, 2nd rung Alex Anthony, Jabir, Jeevan K S, Anjali Devi, Sivpal Singh are all good expecting some to go past our best athletes records in future, Sreeshankar and Toor should do well no excuses for them, Arpinder is ok, never expected much from him. Inderjit is back again should touch 20m soon. Few months left in 2019 the last qtr, things will be much better.

On athletics we had an injury affected year, that can happen thanks it's not 2020, we had a few NRs - Muhammad Anas, Annu Rani, Dharun, Jinson Johnson, Dutee, Tesjashwin was close, more guys doing well in 400m not really that bad after the wonderful 2018, let's keep hope, expecting good results in the world championships.

I missed it nice work man, we have 14 currently in medal ranking, surely we will deliver the goods this time, big few months for badminton coming up, I know we have disappointed in mens hockey in the past, we are still no. 5 currently and the Pro League next year will tell the story, rmbr our performances in Champions trophy recently have been sublime. Sumit played a good match against Federer, very impressed with his ground strokes and returns, the consistency will come with time, doesn't have the big serve though needs to work on it, not the tallest of players also needs to work on overhead kills. We seem to 2 categories of players, those who have big serves but not so much with ground strokes and then players like Sumit excellent ground strokes but not a great server. Let's hope we find the combination soon. Overall Sumit has put up a great show today against the best in the world.

Apple's and pears my friend, you don't really qualify separate athletes for mixed events, those events where both male and female have qualified compete as partners on the 3 mixed events. In 2016 we had separate events with different ppl qualifying for a country could get 6 quotas, to conclude the current lot is a lot better and nothing less than a gold medal(expected 2 golds) would do justice this time in shooting, we should break our record of 6 medals this time easily and shooting is going to be the key factor.

Yes, it's sad I think it's high time Satwik stops playing mixed doubles and focus on Men's doubles only to have a realistic medal chance at Tokyo. Ashwini can partner someone else maybe Pranav, I may sound harsh here but Siki seems hopeless.
