In women's doubles and mixed doubles our top pair is continuously in qualification position week on week. You can have 2 pairs if in top 8 ranking only, any 2nd pair below top 8 is not in qualifying position, going by that logic.

Lakshya Sen is in the finals of Sarlorloox Super 100, gets 5500 points if he wins today, in 9 tournaments he will come closer, should be among the Top 16 on Race to Tokyo by end of year, he has 3 more tournaments lined up this year.

Absolutely, I think Satwik quickly needs to decide whether he wants to continue Mixed Doubles, with his injury history a wise decision maybe to purely focus on men's doubles, specially before the Olympics.

Sourav Verma & Kashyap closest currently for 2nd qualifier post, don't think they can get within the top 16 though at the end of Apr'20, some others need to come up. Women's singles seems very difficult for Saina, women's and mixed doubles maybe Ashwini with her respective partner's can pull through.

The next 7 weeks are key for badminton qualifications, we have non stop high level tournaments, Super 300 or higher really key we do well, Saina and Srikanth need to cover some ground.

Yes I'm aware of that, what really appears funny is that she can still participate in the individual 400m. I guess avoiding the team suspension for an individual, but then they shouldn't have sent Anjali Devi at all.

Not sure why Anjali Devi was not included in the relay team, this was a really poor quartet of 400m women, still we are banking on Povamma time and again she has proved to be a failure. Let's hope the men do better.

Very strategic and matured performance, never tried to compete with the big guys just followed them from behind, saved his adrenaline till the last, knew what he wanted to achieve and delivered. So came down by 7.5s in this WC tournament itself, needs to double that if he can do so come down by 15s in the next 10 months he can have a medal chance too outside chance, anyway should make it to the finals in Tokyo.

I agree with you Siddhartha, not sure what some of us are expecting from our athletics team members, lets be realistic I would say we have done well till now.
