  1. Didn't it already break, briefly, after that fourth goal?
  2. Discounting Czechoslovakia, it is.
  3. We will claim 1/50th of this medal.
  4. Numerous rowers failed the doping test right before Tokyo. That will keep the Russians nationless.
  5. Well, even I have tuned in for this. It's not to be missed, and it is looking promising.
  6. I mean, this specific example didn't make any difference on the final score, but it's interesting how some judges don't even bother to stay unbiased. Sui downgraded the 3S. It should automatically get -5 from each judge. It's not up for any debate. But this downgraded salchow only got -3 from Wang. https://results.isu.org/results/season2122/owg2022/FSKXPAIRS-------------FNL-000100--_JudgesDetailsperSkater.pdf
  7. Nobody has been this dominant in sliding since in the 1980s. And even they weren't winning everything, even if podium sweeps were common. So to celebrate...
  8. Hasler beats Humphries.
  9. This was close, but very much the expected outcome. The main surprise being that T/M held it together. Overall I think this was a poor quad for the pairs skating. totally disappeared, are there but miles below their previous level. While have improved slightly, the competition ended up being more one (two) sided than most recent Olympics. Also nobody really expected to see the quad twist these Olympics, but there you go, it happened.
  10. They win thanks to the quad twist.
  11. Tarasova/Morozov held it together. This never happens. Should likely overtake M/G on presentation. The judges can't make it any more clearer that they don't want M/G to win in Beijing.
  12. Boiikova and Kozlovskii throws it all away on the throw jump.
  13. For a second I thought it was .
  14. P/J overscored on presentation. Looked much slower than some of the other pairs.
  15. Zambonis are out. Time to hit the shower.
  16. Another top 10! Fantastic Olympics for Georgia. Kvitelashvili aside, all their skaters are only starting their senior careers.
  17. Canada should select Messing to be their flag bearer on the Closing ceremony just for his endless optimism.
  18. This is becoming pitiful. I am not convinced Canada will be crawling out of this hole any time soon. Rough first group overall, but that's kind of the pair skating.
  19. What a rough skate. Two aborted lifts. Must be the result of two weeks in the so-called isolation.
  20. Tarasova/Morozov are usually such a dumpster fire in free skates. I think they will drop out of the medals. M/G are the only ones who can threat home pair, but I don't think it's happening. Fans don't like them. Judges don't like them. With a clean program they will be silver at best.
  21. IBSF just continues having one of the most unfair competition formats... Sleds placed 20th and 21st after Heat 1 racing in completely different conditions in Heat 2 is some kind of insane.
  22. Are the Germans trying to tie for gold on purpose? More likely Friedrich is just trolling the competition. Purposely starting faster with each new heat. He must be bored out of his skin. Hoping Kibermanis takes the bronze, but it's likely Hafer again.
  23. As expected. To get lapped here, one would need to be 7 km down after 28 km. That's a little much.
