  1. Robinson had the fastest second run. Now that is a serious star being born.
  2. hckosic and dcro tied in posting the same thing
  3. Holdener and Haaser tied in both runs.
  4. I guess Totallympics bunch put too much pressure on Marsaglia...
  5. Second run delayed, because of course.
  6. Rumor has it Hirscher is sick.
  7. A star is born...
  8. Well, Marsaglia almost took a super-g medal.
  9. So our uneducated commentators just called New Zealand an exotic skiing nation.
  10. DNF for Schild. How very surprising.
  11. Nice spring weather.
  12. Mighty good split time for Bib 113.
  13. They are probably having the easiest giant slalom course ever. So many inexperienced skiers and yet 96/103 so far reached the finish.
  14. Top 25 + top 25 (from nations that still don't have anyone in the main race).
  15. Now I've seen everything.
  16. Yes, too bad they didn't use the qualification race to cut the field of 98 to 100.
  17. I'm pretty sure the youth level courses don't get much harder than that...
  18. It depends on the discipline, but usually around 18 years of age is about an upper limit. Jumping horses generally have the shortest career, with a lot of them retiring at 14-15 (or even earlier). There are more 16+ horses in eventing, and even more in dressage. Dressage championships in fact often have a couple of 19-20 year olds... But it also depends from horse to horse and other such factors like injuries. Additionally, a lot of top horses that retire don't go straight to isolated fields, but instead they have a role of "schoolmasters" for younger and inexperienced riders. Equestrian (dressage in particular) is generally a sport that very much helps preserve the horse, if done well. Through training they become more flexible and supple, and that's what they need to have long, healthy life...
  19. Jeroen Dubbeldam's Zenith has been retired. http://www.worldofshowjumping.com/WoSJ-Exclusive-photo-series/Thank-you-SFN-Zenith.html
  20. Hosts haven't failed to win a medal since 1999. Myhrer and Hansdotter are not a sure medal by any stretch, so just putting it out there...
  21. Parallel slalom should rather be called power slalom. I never really enjoyed this event.
  22. Well, I wouldn't say obviously. You had Tatiana Bodova, so you never know.
  23. Or Burkina Faso.
  24. Well, a good combined race is very much an exception these days. Remember Aerni?
