  1. Now they are having fun & playing together really beautiful scene, as they are currently still opposing teams and yet they are showing the true meaning of sport.
  2. 3-1 for Poland Very good play, especially as this was not our first team
  3. Egypt just won 3-2 against Czechia Poor debut for coach Miguel Angel Falasca...
  4. We had a weak entry in the first set, but now we are definitely playing better then in the beggining ( but Konarski...) hope we will keep up the good play.
  5. Pretty boring game between Australia and Belgium. The latter was definitely a better side, but in my personal opinion they played against the weakest team in first group. At least the hall was packed and the atmosphere at both matches in Sydney was good. ( I am just watching Netherlands vs Slovakia on Youtube and there are lterally max. 50 fans in the hall... but well, after euro 2009 it is well known that there is basically no interest in mens volleyball in Turkey, unless NT is playing or a club has really nice results. Pity for the guys there though...
  6. Now it's time for the second team debut in the first group - Belgium The Argentinians put yesterday a very good show against USA so I hope the Belgians will also fight against Australia.
  7. Yep, that's basically what it is in olympic year, at least here in Poland. Last time, in 2012 most countries completely did not care about the tournament, so now FIVB figured they will make them care by creating additional rules, like the one i mentioned earlier. Sure many people watch the tournament, but for most people the results aren't that important, as both the fans and the media - everyone cares about the Olympics now. some are even openly suggesting we should not fight hard until the finals, as we are hosts. There are some countries for which this is important tournament, but they did not advance to Olympic Games. The matches will probably still be pretty interesting, but it's no secret that even for the coaches/players most important will be not to get anyone injured. Overall I would say the tournament is interesting to the fans of volley here, but not important in terms of results.
  8. Well a draw vs Germany is no matter how you look at the quality of the game a really good result for Poland, especially as we are now almost sure to advance further
  9. There wont be many reserves, cause FIVB created an idiotic rule that there must be at least 10 out of 14 players in each team who participated in the previous tournament - so either European Championships, Olympic Qualification etc. That's why our coach had to additionally call Bartosz Kurek to the team, who was supposed to be resting
  10. Yay, we WON versus Germany two years ago... Well, I completely dont understand why polish media are creating such a atmosphere like we were a hundred times better than Germany. It's them who are favourites. I of course want my team to win but it's gonna be really hard. They really should not overhyping the game.
  11. Jo Cox, the politician of the British Labour party has reportedly been shot three times and stabbed on the street by a man who as witnesses claim shouted "Britain First" (thats a name of a british xenophobic political party, kinda like Germany's Pegida or France's National Front). The man then walked cooly away (but as Polish media report has already been caught) Let's hope she is strong and will survive...
  12. Oh my god... a Northern Irish fann died yesterday not long after match with Poland. According to our media he was very drunk and fell from 8 meters from the Castel Plage straight to the concrete...
  13. I meant the Qualification tournament, not the olympics
  14. Well congrats to all qualified teams I am especially happy for Canada. BTW if nothing goes wrong France will win the tournament, AND that's gonna be their 3rd major win in last two years
  15. TBH the worst case scenario would be Australia qualification... not trying to offend anyone, I just think they made barely any progress in the last few years. I'd even say they are the weakest team between the combination of China/Australia/Canada.
  16. Many matches from all groups of FIVB World Grand Prix and possibly World League will be streamed by FIVB official youtube channel plus of course all remaining matched of Olympic Qualification Tournament.
  17. Congrats to and personally I hope will qualify tomorrow
  18. Well, France - I think its certain now- congrats for qualifying And It's quite possible the last place will be decided in the last day's match between China and Canada
  19. It's beggining to be some sort of tradition for our team here - that was only 4th match and so far the results are 3:2 vs Canada, 3:2 vs France, now 3:2 vs China oh well, its most important for me that they are close to qualifying now... one or maybe two wins more should do it
